Abhijit Chanda

Abhijit Chanda is a famous personality in make up industry in India. He is based in Kolkata, He worked with many Bollywood and Tollywood celebrities, actors and models on platforms across films, television, fashion weeks, magazines and events. He is also famous for Bridal Makeup and Party Makeup. He has done many high profile celebrity bridal makeup all over the world.

Early Life

Born in Kolkata, Abhijit Chanda grew up in a joint family where choosing his profession was unimaginable with most people in the family being teachers, academicians, engineers in profession. But from a very early age when most boys of his age were busy playing football or cricket he used to spend his leisure times painting or decking up some dolls borrowed from cousins.

Abhijit grew up in a completely non filmy proper bengali joint family. He completed his schooling in Kolkata and thereafter took up his passion of painting and making people look good as his profession. To master his skills he went away to Delhi and did some hair and make up courses.

Career

As destiny would have it soon his talent got recognised and he started assisting Ambika Pillai. Soon he made a shift to Mumbai where he assisted the renowned names like Mehra Kohla and Cory Wadia. But he was more keen onto creating magic and transforming simple girls into the most pretty faces.

In 2012 coming back to Kolkata he started working with MAC as their make up consultant. In a years time he realised his true passion and so started off as a freelancer make up artist and started working mostly on bridals apart from the fashion industry
