Operating under a strong prophetic unction, Bernard Nelson-Eshun leads a large congregation on Sundays in two powerful services. Other aspects of Nelson-Eshun’s ministry include a Prophetic Academy and a Scholarship Fund known as The Bernard Nelson-Eshun’s Scholarship Scheme, which sponsors over hundred students throughout University education.

Biography[edit]

On May 31 1979, Bernard Nelson-Eshun was born in the Western Region of Ghana to Philip Mensah Eshun and Agnes Essuman. As a young boy, his utmost desire was to become a College Professor. He was brilliant at school and taught most of his colleagues who needed help. He passed his Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination now West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination and was admitted at the University of Ghana, Legon. He was enrolled in the School of Administration and came out with a bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance. While in school, Nelson-Eshun frequently traveled the length and breadth of Ghana to preach the Gospel of Jesus and was particularly noted for his strange prophetic insight. He claims his primary mentor is David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel, who showed him the way to “crazy faith”. Upon completion in May 2006, he had several job offerings, but turned to full-time ministry.

Spiritlife Revival Ministries[edit]

Bernard Nelson-Eshun intensified his itinerant ministry upon graduation from college. During this period, he traveled across Ghana to preach in various churches and campuses. In a heavenly vision in 2008, he received a command from God to move from his Takoradi residence to start a church in the capital city of Ghana. He promptly obeyed the voice of God and founded the Spiritlife Revival Ministries in Accra with only a handful of members.

By March 2011, his church had moved twice: from the premises of Sunny FM, a Christian radio station, to the conference room of High Gate Hotel in Kanda. And even though Bernard Nelson-Eshun had on three occasions given out lands that were initially bestowed on him as gifts to other people, he had no land or premises for the church, claiming it was not time for the church to start owning properties. In its three years of existence, Spiritlife Revival Ministries had grown tremendously in numbers and impact across the country.

Itinerant Ministry[edit]

Bernard Nelson-Eshun continued his itinerant ministry preaching the word of God in different ministries across the African continent. Because of his prophetic gifting, many ministries crave for his presence at every program. He is a regular minister on the Prophetic Convocation held once a year in Cape Coast, hosted by Prophet Bernard Afresa Taylor of Denmark. He is also a frequent guest speaker at the Global Prayer Force of the Global Revival Ministries. Most of his itinerant ministry in recent times within Africa has been in Nigeria.

Prophetic Unction[edit]

Bernard Nelson-Eshun operates under a strong prophetic unction. He has an unusual ability of predicting future events in the lives of an individual, a people, a nation, a situation, as well as worldwide events. He’s predicted the outcome of several elections including Ghana’s elections in 2008 and the establishment of Goodwill Jonathan as president in Nigeria’s 2011 elections; as well as notable events in Iraq, Japan, Libya, and other parts of the world. He also predicted the recent crisis in Ivory Coast and foretold, almost immediately, the capture of their erstwhile president, Laurent Gbagbo.

Bernard Nelson Scholarship Scheme[edit]

Since 2006, Nelson Eshun has been involved in the granting of scholarships to needy but brilliant students to enable them access university education. This, he claims, is part of his life’s assignment and has been inscribed among the objectives of his ministry. In 2006, even when Nelson-Eshun had nowhere to lay his head, he granted scholarship to nine students to attend school. By 2008, the scheme had grown to support over thirty-five students. Today, the Bernard Nelson-Eshun’s Scholarship Scheme covers over hundred students, with more than 70% of the number outside his ministry.
