From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As I was conducting my research on the artist Moni Sanchez I found it very difficult to locate a few key elements needed to complete my research. As I was combing through a few websites a came across her personal phone number, so I decided to give her a call. To my surprise she answered on the first ring. I introduced myself, and told her a little about the work I was conducting on her and her art. We had a very nice conversation, and discovered that we know a lot of the same people. Such is the Village of Oxnard. I will take the vital information I gathered through our interview to include her to Wikipedia.

Oral History: Interview October 27, 2022

The artist Moni Sanchez was featured on the VisitOxnard.com website for her mural titled “Rainbows and Unicorns” on July of 2020, it is located in Downtown Oxnard. As a proud member of the LGBTQ community the beautiful and vibrant colors she used were very specific to her personally. Since she painted “Rainbows and Unicorns” she has painted a number of additional murals, and plans to continue to paint more throughout the years.
