I am an instructor at the Counter-Vandalism Unit Academy. In short, that means I am willing to help guide editors wishing to gain a greater understanding of how to effectively patrol recent changes - spotting disruptive edits and understanding what to do once you come across them. If you enroll in CVUA and have me as an instructor, you can expect to learn about the following:

1. How to spot, identify and revert vandalism.
2. Warning and reporting to WP:AIV
3. Assume good faith, not biting new editors and denying recognition to trolls
4. The username policy
5. Dealing with revision deletion (Revdel), oversight (suppression) and emergencies
6. The speedy deletion criteria (to a limited extent)
7. The rollback permission, once you've got a grasp of the above.

The course is paced at your own timing - there are no deadlines, and you are free to prioritize other work over it. Generally, I will attempt to respond to any questions/work from the course by 48 hours after you've pinged me to what needs attention - I'll alert you in advance if my response is likely to be delayed.
