Game Mechanics
[edit]In tabletop games and video games, Game mechanics are the rules that govern and guide the player's actions, as well as the game's response to them.[1] Typically, these rules cannot be altered, as they identify the game’s primary objectives and the manner in which the game should be played.[2] A game's mechanics thus effectively specifies how the game will work for the people who play it.[1]
