Dr. Majid Rafizadeh
Oshwah, You just undid my edits. We don't like Rafizadeh. He criticizes Iran and Syrian governments. He is a human rights activist. Can you delete his page or add more templates to his page so it looks bad on him?
- No, I cannot. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:14, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

Camels' achilles tendon
The text is a quote from http://yellowmagpie.com/camel-about/. (Not exactly scolarly). I knew about camels tendons before reading this but that was years ago before the web. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeavonsb (talk • contribs) 02:15, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, Jeavonsb - thanks for leaving me a message! There were a couple of issues with your edit that caused me to revert it. First and foremost, it didn't have a reliable source cited. You'll want to review Wikipedia's guideline on citing sources, as well as verifiability. It will give you a good insight on when and how to cite a source. Second, it didn't seem to be written in a neutral point of view (specifically, "The camels' Achilles tendon is incredibly strong and elastic."). This can come out as opinionated, which is what we don't want to have within an article. Neutrality is the absolute key with any content creation, expansion, or modification. I see that you did provide a source here, which is good! I would just review the guidelines I listed in blue, and go ahead and give it another go! Please do not hesitate to respond here with any questions that you may have. I'll be more than happy to answer them and assist you. Happy editing, and happy New Year! :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:25, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

I am LINDA IKEJI. I am correcting what you put on MY profile. I don't know who you are but you are misleading people with your wiki page of me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tyra82 (talk • contribs) 02:45, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
- Tyra82 - The claims you are making here are not verifiable, and the edit you are making to the article removes a referenced section and replaces it with an unreferenced one. Per Wikipedia's biographies of living persons and ownership policy, unreferenced content added to the article must be removed, and you do not own any content here. If you are really who you claim to be, you need to contact the volunteer response team by clicking here. They have the proper tools to properly verify your identity and assist you. Please do not make further disruptive edits to the article - contact the response team; they can assist you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:51, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
- Oshawah or whatever your name is...I DO NOT see why you, whom I DO NOT know, will write things about me. I don't want to be on Wikipedia IF you are going to write incorrect things about me. - Tyra82 - I feel that I have done my best to clearly explain to you exactly what you need to do in order to properly address your concerns. If you resolve the matter properly by clicking here, your concerns will be submitted and handled by a team of volunteers that can actually resolve the issue. If you choose to continue to edit the article disruptively as you've been doing, it will not result in the matter being resolved. In fact, it will only make it harder for you to resolve them. Whether or not you choose to follow the directions that I've given is entirely up to you. I apologize for the frustration that this situation has caused upon you, but I've already provided you with the exact method that will resolve this; I cannot be of any further assistance to you. Thank you for leaving me your messages, and I thank you for understanding. Have a happy and safe New Years. Best wishes - ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:06, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

Where's the sandbox?
I didn't know that existed i'm sorry i just wanted 2 prank my friend, but i reverted it myself right after
- Hi, CalSwagDistrict. There are two sandboxes that you can use. One can be accessed by clicking "Sandbox" (located on the top-right corner, next to your username). The other is the Wikipedia Sandbox, a place where anyone can perform test edits. Yes, you will want to use a sandbox instead of making disruptive edits to articles (such as what you did twice - one to Russia and the other to United States). These kinds of edits can get you blocked. If you are here to build an encyclopedia and not just here to make edits to "prank friends" (which I very much hope is the case), you should review Wikipedia's Five Pillars, complete the tutorial, and start making constructive edits to build and grow Wikipedia. Please let me know if you have any questions, or if I can help you with anything. I'll be more than happy to do so. Cheers -- ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 06:51, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

misunderstanding
hello Oshwah, i was just wondering who you are? but apart from that i dont have any problems... but there is only one thing that you have misunderstood. the editing for the page 'emirate' i have no clue about it! i think it may be some hacker... or just a mistake. but whatsoever i am sorry about what happen. thank you.

i know this sounds crazy but i have an eleven year old brother who likes using my laptop and my wikipedia account ad doesn't understand consequences clearly anyway i saw a look on his face he seemed distressed so i asked him he told me he thought he might get me banned from wikipedia naturally i was angry however i told him to go away and we would talk about this later, and that is why i am writing this i am asking you if you could disregard those last however many edits. He told me he was editing Matt Ryan god knows why. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WeLostBecauseWeDidntWin (talk • contribs)

- 83.110.138.72 - Unfortunately, I can't just "make" you an article just like that ;-). There are procedures that must be followed, such as whether or not the article subject meets Wikipedia's notability and verifiability guidelines, and the need to carefully verify that what isn't acceptable isn't violated. I highly recommend that you review these guidelines, and possibly review Wikipedia:Your first article. It will give you a well-constructed insight regarding article creation. Please let me know if you have any more questions. Happy New Year! ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 13:27, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

Could you change it?
- Hi, 80.6.111.235 - Thanks for leaving me a message! No need to apologize; we were all new here once and mistakes are inevitable. We're just much more strict when it comes to articles that are biographies of living persons. I see that you've provided a reference - perfect! Here is how you can undo the change yourself and restore what I reverted. All you need to do is click here, then click "edit", add your reference (make sure that you read WP:CITE so that you know how to do it!), add an edit summary explaining your changes, and click "save"! Easy peasy! Please let me know if you get stuck anywhere or if you need more help. I'll be happy to do so. Again, thanks for leaving me a message and for reaching out. Response to your post about my edit
Hi! I thought I did fill out why I made the edit. I put it in the box marked for that reason. I don't know why it didn't show up. I was removing my birthday from the public record as I try to keep my personal information as private as possible in this wide world of the web. How do I get that changed and have it stay removed? I'd love your advice and help on this.
Oh my goodness I think I am doing even this message wrong. please forgive my amateur nature :)
Sincerely, carebearfinnCareBearFinn (talk) 00:23, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, CareBearFinn! Welcome to Wikipedia! There's absolutely no need to apologize; you're doing fine :-). It looks like this is a new account for you, and I can only assume that you made the change while you were logged out. No worries, though. Yes, you will want to make sure that you add an appropriate edit summary with each of your changes. It just helps other editors to understand what you are doing and why. Other than that, you're good to go. Remember, go fourth and be not afraid! Mistakes are inevitable; as long as you make them in good faith, learn from them, and accept the advice and input from experienced editors, you will do absolutely fine here. Please do not hesitate to leave me a message if you run into any questions. I'll be happy to help you with anything that you need! It's a pleasure to meet you, and I hope that you become a long-term contributor here. Remove an item form a Bio Page?

Hello Oswah. Thank you for your notification. However, the page in question is not my own rather a colleague who requested my review. Thanks again for your help.
Wanted your thoughts on this user, who appears to be the same as User talk:2.216.34.102 and User talk:5.70.57.0. They're both making a lot of unsourced edits to a series of highway articles. For all I know, they're factual edits, but the lack of edit summaries and references seems inappropriate. What do you think? cOrneLlrOckEy (talk) 14:46, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, cOrneLlrOckEy! Check out the WHOIS for these IPs: [1] [2]. The fact that they're from the same region and ISP, and the fact that they're making pretty much the exact same edits on the same pages - I'd say that it's very much more than likely that it's the same person. Good find! ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 17:17, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
- Gotcha, cool tool. Do you think something should be done, or just assume Good Faith and let them continue? cOrneLlrOckEy (talk) 17:38, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
- cOrneLlrOckEy - If the edits aren't disruptive, definitely assume good faith. If I call correctly, Sky provides mobile carrier internet services. It's entirely possible that the same person just went from one IP to the other (the date ends on one IP then seems to begin on another). If they're not, definitely report both IPs to AIV and let them know about the disruption, and the suspicion. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 18:07, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

Regarding personal attacks by another editor via their talk page
Hello. I noticed another editor who you gave a level 3 warning to has posted some rather offensive comments on his talk page about you, amongst other editors. I am aware of the rule that nobody is allowed to delete talk page comments, but is it acceptable for me to remove them and warn the editor? As far as I can see it is a personal attack. Chesnaught555 (talk) 19:30, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, Chesnaught555 - Yes. Absolutely. Users can delete things from their talk page, but if anything they put onto it is a blatant violation of Wikipedia policy, then you bet... treat it as any other page! Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them. Let me sharpen my sword for you... there you go... all good to go for vandal fighting. It's dangerous to go alone. Sudsakorn Wiki Page
Hi.
You messaged me regarding sudsakorn sor kllinmee page I edited. I was just updating it as I saw it hadn't been updated since his last fight and I also added some facts in. I added his fight for Youssef Boughanem in his kickboxing record.
I also wanted to add some details about his fight against Nicholas Carter from the UK. It was a tough fight for him and as he usually finds foreigners easy I thought it was worth a mention. If you want to add that in then that's fine if not that's fine too lol.
Im only trying to help and add to the page.
Thanks.

Hi,
I am a Rutgers Graduate student at risk for failure at this time. I have spent countless hours trying to figure out what this Wiki has to do with my course. At first I thought I was going crazy because I was seeing things that weren't there. But I know what I saw...they were there. I am still finding clues about this site.My parents are ready to commit me. They think I have totally lost it. For some reason I was directed here to your talk page. Why I don't know. How I got here, I have no idea. I need help. I am so confused and seriously consumed with all of this. Do you have any clue as to where I am supposed to go? I see shortcuts listed??? What's even more crazy is the name of the one of the projects I saw. My name for short is Kat...I am seeing things for cat...just absolutely mind blowing experience.I have created a user account...am extremely technology challenged...have no idea what an IP is even though I spent hours reading on it...I am so confused!!! Reverted edit on Jacob Appelbaum
I don't understand your comment/reason for reverting? I made a topic on the talk page, because I'd already gotten into a disagreement with someone else over that so it should probably go there -- with that disagreement, they sort of stopped responding (or maybe just haven't responded yet? I'm new to editing Wikipedia, so I don't know how long to expect to wait between responses), so I haven't gotten any good sense of their side (except, ish, one of their points, which I believe I addressed?).
(I initially thought, given that both reverts to my change occurred literally within 10 minutes of my edit each time, that I had hit some sort spot in the community or something? But having looked at your contribution log it looks like that timing was just a coincidence.)
More specific responses and questions are at the talk page. I hope that's the right location.
Thanks. (Sorry if specifically poking you here was unnecessary and you'd have seen the topic on the talk page. Or if there was a better way to poke you. I don't know how Wikipedia works on the inside.) Gaditb (talk) 23:42, 3 January 2016 (UTC)

I took a look at your talk page, as well as the revision history of Jacob Appelbaum, and I can't find where I reverted any of your edits to that page nor left you a message regarding it. - Gaditb - AHA! Nevermind - I believe you're referring to this edit, am I correct? For some reason, I didn't see that this was, in fact, not the lead section of the article but the Personal life section. So long as the information you're changing/adding is referenced by a reliable source and that it complies with the strict guidelines with biographies of living persons, you'll be completely fine. I apologize for the delay responding to your message and for the confusion. Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 05:23, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
- No problem. I do have one more question -- not important at all, but it's just... Why might it "imply WP:NPOV issues"? I thought I understood NPOV, but I can't see the connection. Not an important question, though. Gaditb (talk) 06:22, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, Gaditb - Excellent question. Certain adjectives and descriptions (especially on BLPs) can imply NPOV issues if used in the lead section of the article (even if true and referenced later in the article). The lead section is the summary of the article subject and why the person is notable. Depending on why the person is notable, it can add undue weight if the lead section contains unnecessary adjectives or information. For example: Let's say we're writing an article about a person who is notable for being the CEO of a company and the author of notable books, but sources show that he committed a felony 30 years ago when he was young. A lead section of "[this person] is an American Businessman, author, and felon" could imply NPOV issues. Again, my reversion was not correct, as the edit made to the article was not in the lead section of the article. But I wanted to answer your question and try to explain. Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them. Thanks again for your patience and your messages, and I apologize for the confusion I caused upon you with my original reversion :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 06:35, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

- That makes sense. Although in this specific case (as in, my edit, assuming my edit had actually been in the lead section), it feels... a bit icky?.. to me that "Jewish" or "bisexual" might be considered creating NPOV issues? Or did you maybe misread while you were working quickly?

Speedy deletion nomination of LIDA project
Hello Oshwah. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that you shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1), content (CSD A3), or significance (CSD A7) moments after they are created, as you did at LIDA project. It's best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks.. An editor deserves more than one freaking minute to complete their work on a new article. The Big Bad Wolfowitz (aka Hullaballoo) (talk) 20:59, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, Hullaballoo Wolfowitz - Good call, thanks for the reminder. I didn't realize how soon after creation that I tagged that article. I'll keep a better eye on that in the future. Thanks again, and I hope you had a good New Years. Cheers -- ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 21:05, 5 January 2016 (UTC)

Correspondence with Prolog
Hi, I'm sorry about my language towards prolog but being told that content I wrote is "Unreliable" by an uninformed moderator is insulting and unacceptable. Please see full correspondence including my past edits to referenced page.
Email previously sent to wikipedia contact email provided below;
Hi My Wikipedia username is StuartKaufman and I am having problems with a moderator named prolog.
Referencing the following page; https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Enduro_motorcycle
Also, please see correspondence on Prolog’s talk page including the recently removed comment by prolog.
Referencing the aforementioned page there were 2 links in the reference section that were no longer valid, one of which pointed to a non existant page and the other pointed to a “Buy this domain” spam site of which I provided two replacement links to equivalent content which prolog removed and cited as “Unreliable” which are actually very reliable and credible sources trusted and favored by Google.
Please see past correspondence and notify me if you need additional info from me as this is very insulting and unacceptable to be told by an uninformed and unintelligent individual that content I as an active enduro motorcyclist created is unreliable while pointing a Wikipedia link to a truly unreliable web archive
Content prolog deems “Unreliable” http://www.your-adrenaline-fix.com/off-road-setup.html and http://www.your-adrenaline-fix.com/off-road.html
Thank You, Stuart Kaufman

Hello.
The change on the "I Really Like You" page was it because it recently charted at 70 on the year end chart of Austria (http://www.austriancharts.at/year.asp?cat=s&id=2015). I don't see it how it was not necessary to the page.
- Hi, 177.132.213.145. Please accept my apologies; I think what happened is that I saw "SHITPARADE" within your edit, looked at the source you provided, saw that it was legitimate, and then accidentally rolled back your changes. Joseph Prasad has caught my mistake and restored your changes (thank you for doing that, Joseph Prasad!). Thanks for leaving me a message and for letting me know, and I apologize again for the confusion. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:12, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
- Understandable, and you're welcome. Just check the source before you revert. I was about to revert as well, but looked at the source first. You'll see the IP added the source's title in English first, then added the German, which made me look why the title was changed. -- Joseph Prasad (talk) 02:14, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
intruders 2016 film
Hi I changed the redirect and added some information (from http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4009278/) . the Intruders page shouldn't redirect to a different movie -- the confusion is probably that Intruders once had the same title as the movie you redirected it to. thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.178.109.85 (talk • contribs)

Oshwah, I would respectfully like to tell you that Super Bowl 42, in which the New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots, is widely considered in football circles to be one of the greatest Super Bowls ever played. In fact, the book titled, "100 Yards of Glory", written by Bob Costas and Joe Garner place this game as the top Super Bowl ever.(Pg.76-79). I just wanted to tell you this because I received a message from you telling me that my editing was biased and distruptive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.90.104.114 (talk • contribs)
- Hi, 74.90.104.114, and thanks for leaving me a message! The reason that I reverted your edits was because it did not cite any sources, and appeared to not be written in a neutral point of view. However, I see that you've provided some sort of reference. As long as the edit is referenced and written in a matter where it's referring to the reference, fine by me :-). You'll want to review Wikipedia's guideline on citing sources for help with adding your reference. Thanks again for leaving me a message and for discussing this with me. Please let me know if you have any more questions or concerns. I'll be happy to help you. Happy editing! ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:32, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

Why exactly are you assisting those two obvious Racists?
I'd love to know! Lord and Sovereign of Truth (talk) 07:03, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
- Lord and Sovereign of Truth - My comment on the SPI that you're involved with has nothing to do with "sides", the articles in dispute, or any edits or behavior that has occurred between you, and whomever. I believe that it was a level-headed and logical analysis of the case being presented in the list of investigations. Your edits and reversions made to some articles constitute edit warring. You need to STOP making edits to those articles you've been editing, and open a discussion on the articles' talk pages, or seek dispute resolution. If it continues, you will be blocked from editing. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 07:15, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
- Don't you think your priorities are a little messed up here? These two are trying to use what is ostensibly an encylopedia to promote their Hitler-esque ideology of racial superiority on the basis of absolutely laughable science that is refuted on the basis of several other pages on the encylopedia. As soon as I nominate their page, which is little more than Mein Kampf: The Sequel, and is merely one ignorant old "scientist" writing nonsensical garbage, they attack me. - OK I don't exactly know what you mean by a diff, but this is the most recent outrageous one. Look how they delete what was merely added from other Wikipedia entries on the same topic, with copious, copious sources showing that their claims are fraudulent, and simply reinsert, with no sources whatsoever, that it has been "established" that there are national differences in intelligence that are genetic in basis. https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Nations_and_intelligence&diff=698456772&oldid=698456229

- I did ask on the talk page for Racists to stop editing the page, in a very nice way. I also nominated the article for Deletion, since there is no reason to have 3 articles as similar as Race and Intelligence, Nations and Intelligence, and History of the Intelligence Controversy, plus the Nations and Intelligence page is almost entirely based on the pseudoscience of Richard Lynn. Thus it merely just replicates the content from his book, which never should have been published to begin with. I cannot understand why there would be a Race and Intelligence and a Nations and Intelligence page, since the Nations page is just a way of skirting the fact that the Race and Intelligence stuff has been long shown to be scientifically unsupportable. I added info simply from other Wiki articles. None of that stuff was written fresh by me. All simply lifted from essentially cognate pages (Lynn, his book, Race and Intelligence, History of the race and intelligence controversy...)Lord and Sovereign of Truth (talk) 07:50, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

Revert Pentaho
Hi Oswah,
you just reverted my revert of a change done by user Mean_as_custard on the Article on Pentaho (Pentaho Business Intelligence). Don't know where you expect a summary other than in the summary line. Anyway, Mean_as_custard deleted 90% of the original article without proper explanation. The content helped me a lot earlier that year, and I needed it again today. After starting to add content again myself, I discovered the revert. Should have been as alert on the Mean_as_custard's deletion :-) Semiliki (talk) 15:56, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

IP editing CNN-related articles
Hello. Thanks for reverting IP's edits on CNN-related articles. Just an FYI: I've left a message at Cyphoidbomb's talk page. He blocked the IP last week for the same disruptiveness. ❄ Corkythehornetfan ❄ 02:12, 7 January 2016 (UTC)

Keep in touch; we'll definitely run into one another out on the battlefield. Happy editing, man :-) 02:34, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
- Corkythehornetfan - I've responded to the discussion on Cyphoidbomb's talk page. At this time, the IP doesn't need a block. Their latest edits don't seem to warrant one. The level 4 warning issued on the IP's talk page was for their edit here, but that was over a day ago. If their edits become unambiguously disruptive as they were before, please do not hesitate to let one of us know, and report it to AIV. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:11, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks! I agree, I don't think a block is needed right now. I was just sort of warning him to keep an eye on the IP. The one thing I would question is this edit. I'm not sure why it needs to be moved from this page?
- I've visited your talk page before... you had a visitor here that I dealt with. Needless to say, that was the subject who is involved in a lawsuit against Emporia State officials and is basically trying to "get back". They didn't like the content on here because it wasn't what they wanted to be said (it definitely would not have be neutral). I, along anyone who reverted his edits on the pages, will be "famous" come February because we will be put in this stupid book they're writing. ❄ Corkythehornetfan ❄ 03:36, 7 January 2016 (UTC)

My edit on the Exponent Bias article
Hi Oshwah,
I'd like to point out that the edit I did was to correct an obvious scientific error. If you're going to bias an exponent in the range -126 .. 127 by subtracting 127, then you'd get a number in the range -343 .. 0. This is obviously wrong. You can consult any reference article on floating-point numbers representation according to the IEEE 754 standard. The correct word is adding; that's how exponent biasing works.

- Prime Pacific - Your account history and your edits to Gerry's Grill show that you may have a conflict of interest with the article. Editing articles where you have a conflict of interest is highly discouraged behavior on Wikipedia, as it blinds an editor's from his/her ability to edit the article in a neutral point of view. - Him EauZenCashHaveIt, thanks for leaving me a message about the ANI discussion. I can absolutely see where you would be frustrated or perhaps even upset. No action was taken as a result of the issue that you raised, and the wording that other editors (or, one other editor) used in follow-up messages and responses could have conveyed that nobody cared about your report. As someone who RC patrols a lot, as well as deals with disputes, you could imagine that I've had my share of being on the receiving end of incivility and personal attacks. What's the best thing to do given your situation right now? You could either leave a message on that person's talk page, and politely explain how his comment made you feel (i.e. "I felt that your comment towards me wasn't needed", something like that). Something even better you could do? Let it go, and move on. I know how that phrase ("let it go") can really get on somebody's nerves when they hear it, and how hard it can be do just "walk away", but it really is the best thing that you can do. If you have any questions or things that you want to discuss, please do not hesitate to let me know. - Hi, SketchyRain933 - Welcome to Wikipedia! First of all, I never ever want you to think that I want you to stop editing or leave Wikipedia. That is simply not true at all. I thought that your edit here may have been a test (but it may have been a mistaken removal of only part of the sentence). I went ahead and restored the article to the revision made before that deletion. I don't think you were violating copyright policies - but I'd give that policy a refresher if you're seriously not sure. If you have any questions, or if you need assistance with anything at all, please do not hesitate to message me and ask. I'll be more than happy to help you out. Cheers and happy editing! :-D ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:04, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
Editing Tom Malkiewicz
Hello Oshwah,
Just wanted to request the changes you reverted be pushed to Tom's wikipedia page. I run his web accounts (http://www.tomisrecording.com/), and he wanted me to update his wiki with his revised birth year (1980, not 1984) and include that he graduated from William Peterson. The changes are correct - not really sure how I can cite it without Tom reaching out to you himself. People rely on his wiki for seeing his bio / discography, so I'd appreciate the approval.
- Brett — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bcarpen6 (talk • contribs) 02:08, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, Bcarpen6 - Welcome to Wikipedia! The reason that I removed the content that you added to Tom Malkiewicz was because it was unreferenced, and due to Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living people. I understand that you may know this person personally, but this "first-hand knowledge" does not constitute as a reliable source and isn't allowed on Wikipedia. Edits made are not delegated by people who "approve them or disapprove them"; they are maintained by community consensus and Wikipedia's core policies that delegate standards and article content. If you have any questions about Wikipedia's policies, please do not hesitate to ask me them. I'll be more than happy to answer them and assist you. I hope that I've answered your questions, and I wish you a good day and happy editing :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:15, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- What kind of sources should I provide to make this true? Does a facebook or linked in page suffice? Should I put this content in his bio on his web page?

About 'Chennur, kadapa'
This is purely a conversation between the moderator and a user.
The present posted information is not correct. This page earlier had a lot of history on this village and all that is removed by somebody.
For example, you please check whether the demographic information is matching with the name of the village. ?. This is chennur village and not kalakallur village. Some unfortunate removal of great content took place possibly by mistake at the time of editing a few pages simultaneously.
Please keep this page open for modifications.
I am born in that village and I am aged 57 and know a lot about that village. There are many like me across the world who hailed from that village. We will keep rebuilding the lost information gradually.

- Hi, 202.62.75.106 - Welcome to Wikipedia! Unfortunately, the content that you added to the article constitutes original research, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. LGBT rights In Cambodia
Hi, Oshwah,
My name is Mark Sutton and I own www.gaycambodianews.com. I am involved in gay sexual health in Cambodia, supporting Khana and M.Style, and I am the national information site for LGBT Pride Cambodia. I also have a dedicated sexual health page on my website which is growing as I create more contacts and gather support.
I edited the page because I felt that some sections were out of date, off topic (as in LGBT rights in Cambodia), and portraying Cambodia as a difficult place to live for LGBT people. Of course, depending where you live or with whom you live, this is true as it is from minimal to extreme degrees for LGBT People in all countries.
However, I live in Cambodia and the culture is changing, and it is changing fast. The youth is becoming far more inclusive and LGBT people are living more open lives. I see this on a daily occurrence. Of course, I accept that there is still a lot of pressure to get married, especially in more rural areas of Cambodia. However, this pressure has greatly diminished in the developing cities with parents and siblings showing much less discrimination in the family.
Times are changing.
Also, your page relies on information from www.gay-cambodia.com. The information on this website is out of date and, especially regarding HIV, gives historical and not current information. Here is what they say: "The Ministry of Health estimates that 123 100 people were living with HIV/AIDS in Cambodia in 2003. Cambodia has a generalized epidemic and one of the highest prevalence rates in Asia".
However, the current statistics show "HIV prevalence in Cambodia among general population adults aged 15-49 has been steadily declining over the past decade from 2.0% in 1998 and 0.9% in 2006 to 0.7% in 2013". This is the statistical information from the UNAIDS report for 2015 which cites Cambodia has met its targets in combating HIV and is controlling the spread of the virus well. This epidemic has been reversed in Cambodia and the country has met its targets by cutting the numbers from 2003 by more than half and meaning that Cambodia is no longer an HIV 'hotspot'.
Furthermore, this page also talks about Hun Sen disowning his daughter for being a lesbian in 2007. However, they do not talk about his asking the Cambodian people not to discriminate against gay people. I in no way defend Hun Sen, but I do not feel, for the sake of balance, that this fact should be omitted. From research, I have discovered that his disowning of his daughter was not solely about her being a lesbian, but also about the number of sexual partners that she brought home. They also because clashed over many other issues. Surely, if this was simply a reaction to her sexual orientation, she would have been expelled from the family after she brought her first sexual partner home. This seems more of a family feud than a reaction to her sexual orientation and is not really helpful to understanding the general culture of Cambodia.
I cite this information because I feel the page, while mostly informative and useful, also currently describes/suggests a rather bleak picture of LGBT life in Cambodia that neither I nor my Khmer partner recognize.
I hope what I have said is constructive and, if you live in Cambodia, I would very much like to meet up with you for a coffee to discuss these issues. My number is [REDACTED - Oshwah] - email: [REDACTED - Oshwah] / [REDACTED - Oshwah]

Hi, Oshwah. The reason I made that edit is because that is not Hilary Swank's father's name. That is a name of a character from Phineas and Ferb. Hello, Oshwah! Oshwah (talk contribs) I was wondering how to become an admin on Wikipedia. Wikipedia I've always wanted to be an admin! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spoon2978 (talk • contribs) 19:30, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, Spoon2978! Anyone who wishes to become an administrator on Wikipedia must apply and successfully pass a request for adminship - a process where the community votes to either "Support" or "Oppose" your request based on their in-depth examination of your editing history, contributions to articles, knowledge of Wikipedia Policy, interactions with other users, block history, your need for the tools, and many other areas. There are no official requirements or any official criterion for someone to become an administrator (other than to pass an RFA. However, I can tell you that becoming an administrator on Wikipedia requires many things in order to gain community support for your request. Even just appearing to want the tools "too much" or appearing to maintain edits solely for the purpose of getting administrator rights can (and usually will) be seen as a reason for people to oppose. You should start by reading the RFA page; it will provide you with essays and helpful unofficial guidelines when it comes to the tool. I hope I've pointed you in the right direction and answered any underlying questions. Please do not hesitate to message me if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them. Happy editing! :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:11, 23 January 2016 (UTC)

Oshwah, The edit that I have made has now been cited. Several sports journalists including Sage Steele and Stephen A Smith have concurred with their own sources that LeBron James had a direct responsibility in the termination of David Blatt from Cleveland. This is not a matter of opinion. It is also important to the biography of this man when one wants to examine his values and skills as a coach, as well as a man. As inconsequential as this fact may seem to an encyclopedia, the fact should be cited as it is a part of history and this man's legacy. Thank you for your time. -Jonathan Brand

Hey
Could you please state whether this was an affirmative human edit that you intend to pursue, or are you just relying on a script to make bad edits for you? Dontmakemetypepasswordagain (talk) 16:42, 23 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, Dontmakemetypepasswordagain! This was a manual revert done by me using a third-party tool. I saw this edit, which was the base for my concerns. However, it appears that I mistakenly reverted multiple edits made by you, and also mistook the addition of the sentence as an opinion. Re-reading it a second time (and in context with the paragraph), it makes sense and it was a mistake on my part. I apologize for that. I see that you reverted my change. Thanks for doing that. Again, it was my bad and I apologize. It was a pleasure to meet you and happy editing :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 16:59, 23 January 2016 (UTC)
- Understood and apology accepted (and appreciated), but it looks like you make hundreds of edits per day using that tool.. I suggest you should perhaps should rethink such a scattershot approach, which, to me, appears prone to generating lots of false positives. Best-case scenario when you make such an error is that you waste a lot of time for an editor who is making conscious human edits at a deliberate pace. Worst-case scenario is that the errors go unnoticed, or other users are afraid to challenge the edits because you appear to be an authority figure conducting Official Wiki Business. What are you talking about. The contribution I last made was neutral and factual. Vegas makes odds on every game because the competition is almost always uneven. LGBT rights in Tuvalu - recent edit reverted
I changed 'male on male sex' to 'homosexual male sex' because I don't believe 'male on male' is the common parlance in this domain and to me sounds somewhat infantile. In my opinion 'homosexual male' rather than 'male on male' is a more technical, and thus ideologically neutral, term. I'm going to change it again, if you feel strongly in favour of 'male on male' sex, please let me know why.

Etymology of Guernsey
- So you took away my recent comment on the etymology of Guernsey. Probably you did not like (a) that it was given at all and (b) its contents. I understand full well that since I could not quote any (reliable) sources for my etymology you probably thought it best to delete my comment. Be that as it may, I'm still pretty sure that the etymology of the name Guernsey can be made up, for an underlying *wernissi "alder island" (a compound of *werna and *inissi, with syllabic haplology of -ni-ni- to -ni-) could well have become as *Wernsei whence Guerns-ey with a popular connection to the Norse word ey "island".
- Of course we cannot know this for sure, but in the interest of those who are searching the Wikipedia to find information on such place names, it could be feasible to add suggestions as to the origin of the place names provided that everybody understands that they are just possibilities. That's why I had prefixed the word "probably" to my sentence.
- But do not worry, I'm not going to bother you and other sensible Wikipedia users with my etymological suggestions any more (this wasn't the first time that such a thing happened). I would, however, appreciate if you took such a rigorous politics of deleting everything in Wikipedia that does not meet your strict measures, not just a comment here and another there. Thank you

I have now changed all occurrences of "they're" to "they are." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marioguy (talk • contribs) 00:25, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
Trout
Whack! You've been whacked with a wet trout. Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly. |

Toilet Related Injuries & Deaths
Hey, I'm fine with you taking down what I wrote on the Toilet Related Injuries & Deaths, I after all posted it in a possible inclusions category. I just thought that straining to poo on toilets causing injury was toilet related, and that a myth perpetuated about catching diseases was relevant. Anyway, thankyou. Moving on, I was wondering if you wanted to read this article on the Straight Dope: http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/1171/did-a-vacuum-flush-commode-once-suck-a-womans-insides-out. It is quite interesting. Also, I was wondering if perhaps you wanted to get some statistics in. They are unsourced currently, but I could get some sourcing on them for you. Here are some statistics. 1. The more time you spend in the bathroom, specifically reading, the more likely you are to develop haemorrhoids, or swollen blood vessels in & around the anus. Paruresis (AKA Shy bladder Syndrome) is a phobia 21 000 000 Americans suffer from where they are afraid of peeing in public places. (this could be psychological toilet related injury) 4. More than 3 800 000 Australians are estimated to have continence issues, representing 18% of the population. 4. 1.6 million people in the UK have continence problems 5. 85% of bathroom related injuries occur when someone falls into the toilet after the seat has been left up. Also, you might want to check out the invention for: 'Method of Bio-waste Removal from Isolated Dwelling Compartment of Military Facility and Device for its Implementation' which is a patent of a method Russians used to basically enclose excrement in shells and use it as ammunition. I would say that is a potential injury. Previous confusion on my part may have been due to the fact that where I live, in Australia, when we say we are going to the toilet, it means we are going to defecate or urinate, especially applicable in wild places. That's why for me the process and the object get lumped together a bit. Anyway, thanks for your time, have a nice day, JoshMuirWikipedia (talk) 02:08, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

Hello
I wanted to message back to you about the "Outsider Music" edit. I felt as though The Residents would be a strong addition to the page, particularly because of this paragraph on the band's wiki page:
"Its albums generally fall into two categories: deconstructions of Western popular music; and complex conceptual pieces, composed around a theme, theory or plot. The group is noted for surrealistic lyrics and sound, disregard for conventional music composition, and the over-the-top theatrical spectacle of their live performances."
If artists such as Captain Beefheart could be considered outsider music, I felt that The Residents seemed close to the definition as well. Maybe I'm off the mark, though. I wasn't 100% sure. I do listen to a lot of outsider artists (Daniel Johnston, Crispin Glover, etc.).
Reversion
Hi there,
The edit I made on British Rail Class 345 is a genuine one, I think it is constructive to point out that in a modern city like London on a brand new train service that there will be no toilets anywhere on a nine carriage train. If I knew a little more how it works, I'd provide citation from a credible source.

Look I am sorry. I am getting popular on YouTube so I am making a Wiki page to my channel — Preceding unsigned comment added by 13EJanjua (talk • contribs) 00:03, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
- 13EJanjua - You should review Wikipedia's guidelines on conflict of interest. In short, it is highly discouraged behavior to create articles, edit articles, or even participate in discussions that involve articles where you have personal ties with the article subject. For example, I do not touch any articles involving my place of employment, where I went to school, or the place that I live. It adds risk that content may be added that is not written in a neutral point of view, a founding principal that Wikipedia operates on. Please let me know if you have any questions. I'll be happy to answer them. Cheers -- ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 23:29, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for taking the time to fully review my edit before reverting it. 46.226.184.124 (talk) 00:17, 31 January 2016 (UTC)

Revert made January 2016 to South Asia article
Hi Oshwah :)
I edited the South Asia article but noticed that you reverted all the changes I made! I described my changes using an edit summary. Can I ask why it has been reverted?
Thanks.77.98.4.100 (talk) 02:52, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, 77.98.4.100 - It looks like some of your previous edits did not have a description in the edit summary, but you have since added them after being advised to. I believe what happened is that I reverted one of those edits, but it accidentally resulted in a reversion of a later edit. Either way, I apologize for the error. Please feel free to ask me for assistance if you need help with the article; it looks like you've handled it already, though :-) - Thanks for messaging me, and thanks for understanding! :-D ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 05:17, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
