Ophira Spitz (Hebrew: אופירה שפיץ, Born 1959), an Israeli contemporary conceptual artist based in the Greater Tel Aviv area. Ophira is known for her multidisciplinary approach, which incorporates painting, drawing, installations, and photography.

Biography

Ophira Spitz is a multidisciplinary Israeli artist whose creative trajectory spans a variety of fields, blending art and academia. From 2018 to 2019, she enhanced her curatorial expertise at the House of Israeli Art, affiliated with the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yafo. Her journey into the arts began with multidisciplinary studies at Minshar College of Art from 2014 to 2018, where she laid the foundation for her distinctive artistic voice. Ophira's academic pursuits extend beyond the arts. She explored East Asian Studies at Tel Aviv University between 1992 and 1994 and studied geography education at Kibbutzim College from 1977 to 1981. Her diverse academic and professional experiences weave a unique narrative of exploration and evolution, enriching her conceptual approach to art and curatorial practices.
