Hello! I inherited the nickname 'Stooge' from my older brother. Teachers and class mates (from the same school I attended after my brother) started calling me 'Stooge'. I assume the nickname came about because of the different ways of spelling our first names and the pronunciation of our Slavic lastname. "Stoj..." became "Stooge" My brother and I have worked in many technical and non-technical industries such as electronics, engineering, live productions and construction. In the vernacular of school and industry amongst friends and colleagues - this nickname stuck. We both exist in eastern Australia.

Sidenote:

I have only noticed a couple of others with the same nickname from old printed media in the past.
