From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I don't know much about Heraldry but I'd like to try to make a free, good quality, vector replacement image for Luton's Coat of Arms, and hopefully learn a bit about heraldry as I go along.

The Original

The non-free image currently in use.

LTFC's logo is based on the same design.

Element Sources

[edit]

Here are some images containing elements that could be useful:

I'm missing a similar helmet, and the mantling around the edges.

Colours (tinctures)

[edit]
  • The outline of the shield is Or (gold)
  • The field (background of shield) is divided into four parts by a white cross (quartered by a cross argent), gules (red) and azure (blue)
  • There's a helmet on top of the shield, and then a blue-sleeved arm holding a bundle of straw as the crest
  • The mantling is a mix of gules and argent

Motto

[edit]

Scientiae et labori detur.
