Olin Parker is a Master of Public Policy candidate in his second year at the Harvard Kennedy School. After working for a year at a consulting firm (and consequently being incredibly bored), Olin Parker spent two years with Teach For America as an Algebra I teacher at both Baton Rouge CAN! Academy and Belaire High School in Baton Rouge, LA. While teaching, Olin also served as a football coach and co-founder of a pretty sweet chess club at Belaire.

Originally from the great state of Kansas, Olin graduated from Hofstra University (where he served as a mascot with his future wife) with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in Viola Performance and History.

Most recently, Olin served as a School Director at Teach For America’s New York City Institute.

Olin and his wife Rachael were blessed with a daughter Dorothy Rose on October 23rd, 2009, and are also the proud parents of two aquatic turtles.
