block log barnstar[edit]
The idea of the block log barnstar is that it is awarded in the quite rare situations when a long term contributor that has a good record for perhaps years and has received a minor block for a minor issue resulting in a smudge on his or her often clean block log. Occasionally we all get involved and perhaps a little bit heated, usually because we care about the project and occasionally on these rare occasions an administrator takes the perhaps unnecessary step to protect the wikipedia from such a contributor for a small length of time - the extremely good faith purpose of this block log barnstar is to add a word of appreciation and support for what is often in these rare situations a quality contributor, and also to add a dash of lightheartedness.

As I said, these situations are rare and the barnstar is not a common award - so if you are awarded the barnstar. it is indeed in appreciation of your quality contributions to the project, so please, wear it with pride.
