Siad Mahmud Salman Parag
[edit]- Siad Mahmud Salman Parag aka Salman Siad Parag ** (born December 5, 1989, in Gazipur, Bangladesh) is a Bangladeshi-born Australian writer and poet currently residing in Tasmania, Australia. He has published four books of poetry in Bangladesh, all of which were released during the *Amar Ekushey Boimela*. His notable works include:
1. **এ চিঠি তোমার জন্য** (*A Letter for You*) 2. **গাং চিলের স্বপ্ন** (*Dreams of an Albatross*) 3. **নীল নির্জনে** (*The Blue Silence*) 4. **নীল পাহাড়ের কিংবদন্তি** (*The Legend of the Blue Mountains*)
In addition to his literary work, he runs a YouTube channel titled *Fallguy Talks - Thoughts of a Random Guy*.
He moved to Australia at the age of 19 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Commerce from the University of Western Sydney. He later completed a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting from Holmes Institute, Sydney.
He is the first Bangladeshi to serve as a correctional officer in Tasmania. Notably, he avoids using social media. His most-read article, *নীল পাহাড়ের ওপারে* (*Over the Blue Mountains*), was published in 2012 in the Bangladeshi newspaper *Kaler Kantho*. Written in Bengali, the article remains available online.
