List of crude oil producers
[edit]The Scotford Upgrader is part of the Athabasca Oil Sands Project (AOSP), a joint venture between Shell Canada Energy (operator and 60% owner), Chevron Canada Limited (20%) and Marathon Oil Canada Corporation (20%). AHS is a heavy crude oil, but due to partial upgrading, contains lower sulphur and TAN than unprocessed dilbits and synbits.
