In June 2019, Faisal Khan Suri, the president of the Alberta Muslim Public Affairs Council, was invited to appear before the Committee to discuss on-line hate. In his statement, Suri referred to the 2017 Quebec City mosque shooting.[1][2][3][4][Notes 1]
