• Leon, der Slalomdribbler, Torjäger und Blitzpasstorvorbereiter (Sturm): Leon ist der Anführer der Wilden Kerle und zeichnet sich vor allem durch seinen Siegeswillen, seine Dickköpfigkeit und seine Loyalität gegenüber der Mannschaft aus. Anfangs war er deutlich stärker auf seinen persönlichen Erfolg fixiert; so wirft er Raban und Joschka im ersten Band aus dem Team, da sie seiner Meinung nach den Sieg gegen die „Unbesiegbaren Sieger“ gefährden würden, doch begreift er gegen Ende des ersten Buches, dass der Erfolg der Mannschaft seinen persönlichen noch übertrifft. Seine Loyalität gegenüber den Wilden Kerlen zeigt sich einerseits dadurch, dass er stets versucht, Mitspielern und Freunden aus misslichen Situationen zu helfen, andererseits ab Band drei durch eine ablehnende Haltung Neuzugängen gegenüber. Sowohl Vanessa als auch Deniz oder Annika sieht er zuerst nicht in der Mannschaft, bis ihn diese jedoch mithilfe einiger Wilder Kerle von sich überzeugen. Sein großes Vorbild ist Gerd Müller dessen Trikotnummer 13 er trägt. Sein bester Freund ist Fabi, mit dem er, Golden Twins genannt, häufig zusammen im Sturm aufläuft.

• Fabi, der schnellste Rechtsaußen der Welt (Rechtsaußen): Fabi ist Leons bester Freund. Zusammen sind sie die Golden Twins, die Sturm- und Tormaschinerie der Wilden Kerle. Im Gegenteil zu Leon interessiert sich Fabi schon für Mädchen. Fabi wird im achten Band vom FC Bayern angeworben, doch als er merkt, wie wichtig ihm seine Freunde von den Wilden Fußballkerlen e. W. sind, verlässt er die Bayern und durch ihn gewinnen die Wilden Kerle ein entscheidendes Spiel.

• Leon the slalom dribbler, goal scorer and flash-pass-goal-preparer (attack): Leon is the leader of the Wild Soccer Bunch and is especially characterized by his will to win, his stubbornness and his loyalty towards the team. Initially, he was more fixed on his personal success; e.g in the first volume he throws Raban and Joschka out of the team, because he thinks they would jeopardize the win against the Unbeatable Winners. At the end of the first volume, he realizes that the success of the team is more important to him than his own. On one hand his loyalty towards the Wild Soccer Bunch shows through his actions of always trying to help friends and fellow players out of difficult situations and on the other hand he has a rejecting attitude towards new members in the third volume. At first he does not want Vanessa nor Deniz in the team until they convince him of themselves with the help of a few team members. His big idol is Gerd Müller whose shirt number 13 Leon is wearing. His best friend is Fabi, they are called the Golden Twins and they often play the attack together.
• Fabi, the fastest right wing in the world (right wing): Fabi is the best friend of Leon. Together they are the Golden Twins, the attack and goal machinery of the Wild Soccer Bunch. Unlike Leon, Fabi is already interested in girls. In the eighth volume Fabi is recruited by the FC Bayern, but when he realizes how important his friends from the Wild Soccer Bunch are to him, he leaves the FC Bayern and the Wild Soccer Bunch wins a significant game with his help.

• Marlon, die Nummer 10 (Mittelfeld): Marlon ist Leons Bruder. Für die Mannschaft ist er das Herz, die Seele und die Intuition. Als Marlon sich in Band 10 das Kreuzband reißt, scheint für ihn seine Fußballkarriere beendet. Durch einen Trick bringen ihn schließlich die Wilden Kerle zum Teamarzt der Bayern, wo er seine Intuition wiederbekommt. In diesem Band verlieben sich Vanessa und Marlon ineinander, die das allerdings beide nicht zugeben.

• Raban, der Held (Ersatztorjäger): Raban trägt eine Coca-Cola-Glas-Brille und ist ohne so gut wie blind, sodass seine feste Position die Ersatzbank ist. In Band 6 befragt er das große Fußballorakel, ob er einmal Profi wird. Er soll aber kein Profi werden, stattdessen wird er Manager der Wilden Kerle.

• Markus, der Unbezwingbare (Torwart): Markus wohnt in einem riesigen Haus mit Diener und Geld. Sein Vater will, dass Markus Golf und kein Fußball spielt, deswegen schleicht sich Markus heimlich zum Training.

• Juli „Huckleberry“ Fort Knox, die Viererkette in einer Person (Verteidigung, letzter Mann): Juli spielt in der Abwehr, zudem hat er das dreistöckige Baumhaus der Wilden Kerle gebaut: Camelot, welches von Gonzo Gonzales, dem Anführer der Flammenmützen, in Band 9 zerstört und neu aufgebaut wird. In Band 4 wird Juli vom dicken Michi erpresst, aber mit Hilfe seiner Freunde entkommt er ihm und findet seinen Vater, den er seit Jahren nicht mehr gesehen hat.

• Marlon, the number 10 (midfield): Marlon is Leon's brother. He is the heart, the soul and the intuition of the team. When Marlon ruptured his cruciate ligament in book 10, he loses the believe in his soccer career and declares it to be over. By using a trick, the Wild Soccer Bunch bring him to the Team Doctor of FC Bayern Munich where he finds his intuition again. In the same book, Vanessa and Marlon have a crush on each other, which both don't want to admit.

• Raban, the Hero ('Spare-goalscorer'): Raban wears glasses with Coca-Cola-lenses. Without them he basically would be blind which leads to his permanent position on bench. In book 6, he asks the great 'Soccer-oracle', if he would become a professional one day. However, he shall not become a professional, but the manager of the Wild Soccer Bunch instead.

• Markus, the Invincible (goalkeeper): Markus lives in a huge house with servant and money. His father wants Markus to play golf instead of soccer, which is why Markus sneaks out to go to the training.

• Juli "Huckleberry" Fort Knox, a four-man backfield defence in one person (defence, last man): Juli plays in the defence and, furthermore, he built the three-level tree house of the Wild Soccer Bunch: Camelot, which is destroyed by Gonzo Gonzales, the head of the flamehats, in book 9 but is rebuilt afterwards. In book 4, Juli is blackmailed by the 'Fat Michi'. With the help of his friends he escapes the threat and finds his father whom he had not seen in years.

Is 'Fat Michi' okay or does Michi sound weird in English?? Flammenmützen - flameheads or flamehats ?? What do you prefer?

-> I mean, 'flamehats' is the literal translation and I would go with it because flameheads (at least for me) means something different. And Fat Michi sounds fine I think :)

- instead of 'fixed' position I'd choose 'permanent'

-'he' would become a professional not 'we' :D

- I think 'shall not' sounds super formal, maybe write something like 'However, it is not meant for him.../his fate is not to...?

• Joschka, die siebte Kavallerie (Verteidigung, allerletzter Mann): Joschka ist Julis jüngerer Bruder. An seinem 7. Geburtstag (Band 9) erobert er den Teufelstopf von den Flammenmützen zurück.

• Vanessa, die Unerschrockene (Mittelfeld): Vanessa will die erste Frau der Männernationalmannschaft sein. Nach ihrem Umzug von Hamburg nach München (Band 3) hat sie sich nicht nur ihren Platz bei den Wilden Fußballkerlen erkämpft, sondern ist auch zusammen mit Leon und Fabi zu ihren Anführern geworden.

• Maxi „Tippkick“ Maximilian, der Mann mit dem härtesten Schuss auf der Welt (defensives Mittelfeld): Maxi redet nicht. Für ihn ist Fußball alles, doch wenn es um seine Freunde geht, dann opfert Maxi seine Freiheit und nimmt wochenlangen Hausarrest und absolutes Fußballverbot in Kauf. Dann bricht er sogar sein Schweigen.

• Deniz, die Lokomotive (Stürmer, und zwar überall): Deniz ist Türke. Bei den Wilden Kerlen hat er gelernt, dass er eine Brille braucht (Band 5), dass er nicht auf sich allein gestellt ist und dass Freunde viel wichtiger sind als der persönliche Triumph.

• Jojo, der mit der Sonne tanzt (Linksaußen): Jojo kommt aus dem Waisenhaus. Er besaß noch nicht einmal richtige Fußballschuhe und kickte in geflickten Sandalen, bis er in Band 11 richtige Schuhe geschenkt bekommt und außerdem noch lernt, dass materieller Besitz Freundschaft einfach nicht toppen kann.

• Joschka, the 7th cavalry (defense, very last man): Joschka is Julis’s youngest brother. On his 7th Birthday (Book 9) he reclaims the Devil’s pot from the flamehats.
• Vanessa, the undaunted (midfield): Vanessa aims to be the first women of the men’s national soccer team.  After she moved from Hamburg to Munich (Book 3), she not only became team member of the Wild Soccer Bunch, but also became one of the leaders together with Leon and Fabi.
• Maxi “Tippkick” Maximilian, the man with the most powerful shot in the world (defensive midfield): Maxi doesn't talk. To him soccer means everything, but when it comes to his friends he sacrifices his freedom and hazards the consequences being week-long grounding and strickt soccer ban. Then he even brakes his silence.
• Deniz, the loco (striker, in fact everywhere): Deniz is a Turk. During his time with the Wild Soccer Bunch he learns that he needs glasses (Book 5), that he is not on his own and that friends are way more important than personal victories.
• Jojo who dances with the sun (outside left): Jojo comes from an orphanage. He never owned proper soccer shoes and was playing soccer with patched sandals until he receives some as a gift in Book 11. Apart from that, he also learns that friendship is more important than material possessions.

• „Gonzo“ Gonzales, der blasse Vampir, ist der Anführer der Flammenmützen, der Skatergang aus dem Internat „Nebelburg“.

• Der dicke Michi ist der Anführer der Unbesiegbaren Sieger. Durch den Sieg der Wilden Kerle wurde er zu ihrem Freund. Doch er wartet darauf, sich an den Kerlen zu rächen.

• Die Biestigen Biester sind eine Mädchenfußballmannschaft aus Hamm, die die Wilden Fußballkerle herausfordern und ihnen den Titel „Wildeste Mannschaft der Welt“ streitig machen. Doch das Endergebnis ihres Spiels ist ein 1:1, und aus diesem Grund bleiben die Wilden Kerle die „Wildeste Fußballmannschaft der Welt“.

• Die Silberlichten hinter dem Nebel wohnen hinter dem Nebel, der vor den Toren von Ragnarök ist. Der Nebel kommt jedes Jahr vor dem Endspiel, und er kommt immer näher. Auch diese Herausforderung nehmen Leon und die Kerle gerne in Kauf.

• Die Schattensucher hinter dem Horizont leben in einem alten Schloss aus Metall. Darkside, Blossom, Düsentrieb, Terry, Mary, Jeckel und Hyde sind die Mannschaft der Schattensucher (Vampire). Im Soccer63D können die Kerle nicht mithalten, aber beim Endspiel mit Maxi und Vanessa als Vampire an ihrer Seite schaffen sie es doch.
• Der fette Vetter ist der ältere Cousin des dicken Michi. Er wohnt in den Schwarzen Hügeln und hält sich für einen Räuberhauptmann.

• Die Wölfe von Ragnarök sind eine Fußball-Mannschaft, die den Freestyle-Soccer-Contest ausrichtet und seit drei Jahren im Wald wohnt.

• "Gonzo" Gonzales, the pale vampire, is the leader of the flamehats, the skatergang of the bording school "Nebelburg".
• Fat Michi is the leader of the Unbeatable Winners. Due to the victory of the Wild Soccer Bunch, he became one of their friends/allays. Although he is still waiting to finaly get his revenge.
• The beastly beasts is a girls soccer team from Hamm. They challenged the wild soccer bunch to a match to finaly bear the titel of "Wildest soccer team in the world". The game ties with 1:1, which results in the wild soccor bunch keeping their title.
• The Silverglades behind the mist live in the fog that is in front of the gates of Ragnarök. The fog comes around every year before the finalgame of the saison. This is also a challange Leon and the guys gladly accept.
• The Shadow Seekers behind the horizon live in an old metal castle. The Shadow Seekers (Vampires) consist of Darkside, Blossom, Gyroscope, Terry, Mary, Jeckel and Hyde. In the Soccer63D, the WIld soccor Bunch can not keep up with them, but ín the finale match with the support of Maxi and Vanesse as vampires they achive victory.
• The fat cousin is the older cousin of fat Michi. He lives in the Black Hills and considers himself the chief of the thieves.

• The Wolves of Ragnarok is a football team that organizes the freestyle soccer contest. They have lived in the forest for three years.

you translated 'Flammenmützen' to 'flameheads' - I chose to use 'flamehats' - is there an 'official translation' by the author somewhere ??

I think it's more like the 'beastly beasts' instead of defeated

I would write 'silverglades' and 'shadow seekers' with a capital letter, as they are the proper names of these groups
