Wolferos Productions is a video game developer founded in 2015.[1]. The company is best known for The Great War, a Hearts of Iron IV mod, released in November 2016.[2]
History
[edit]In November 2015, Wolferos Productions released their first game, Silent U-Boat: Atlantic Hunter for Android.[3].
Following the release of Hearts of Iron IV, in June 2016, they started to work on The Great War, a WW1 mod. Well received by the players[4][5][6], it was awarded by the 3rd Place in the 2016 Mods of the Year contest organized by Mod DB.[7][8][9][10][11][12]
Since then, the mod counts over 300.000 subscribers on the Steam Workshop[13] and, in 2017, was still in the Mods of the Year Top 100.[14]
On the 11th November 2018, for the 100 Years of the Armistice, Wolferos Productions announced Fields of History: The Great War, their first grand strategy game.[15]
Technology
[edit]Wolferos Productions uses a proprietary engine known as the Wolf Engine to develop their games. The Wolf Engine is a 3D game engine optimized to meet the constraints of mobile gaming and was made from the start to be cross-platform.[16]
