From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

3 team football has been an idea for a sport for me for a long time. It follows most of the rules of football except because there are three teams there are some changes.

Pitch and Goals

[edit]

The pitch is a triangle shaped pitch. Each team has their own goal on their third and on their side.

Balls

[edit]

3 football balls are used, each a different colour. 1 ball in assigned to the match between team 1 and 2, 1 to team 1 and 3 and 1 to the match between teams 2 and 3.

Scoring

[edit]

There are three ways of scoring, by scoring a goal or ungoal or your opposing team conceding a goal or ungoal which counts as a antigoal to your team. Goals are worth 6 points, ungoals 3 points and antigoals 1 point. These only take effect in one game for the scorers ( the one between the 2 teams involved) and one game for the team not involved ( as an antigoal is awarded and in the match between the team uninvolved and team who conceded). You get 3 points for winning a match,1 for a drawn match and none for a loss. Knockouts can add up all the amounts of points and then 3 goal types

Goals

[edit]

A goal is scored when your team scores against a team with the ball assigned to your match. An example is when team 1 scores against team 2 with the ball assigned to the match inbetween teams 1 and 2.

Ungoals

[edit]

A ungoal is scored when your team scores against a team with a ball not assigned to your match. An example is when team 1 scores against team 2 with the ball assigned to the match between teams 1 and 3.

Antigoals

[edit]

A antigoal is awarded to your team when one of your opponents concedes a goal or ungoal. An example is when team 1 scores against team 2 with any ball a antigoal will be awarded to team 3 in their match against team 2.

Throw ins

[edit]

Throw-ins are given to the other team who the ball is assigned to than the one that kicked it out. If it wasnt either team but the uninvolved team there is a drop kick.

Offsides

[edit]

The offside rule applies only to the balls that the team is assigned to.
