[1] This source provides an image of Carl Etherington and contains a very brief overview on him and the lynching of him. This source is from “Licking County Records and Archives” a reputable .gov website.The information provided in this source is very brief, but the image and short description will be beneficial in crafting the background section of our Wikipedia page.

[2] This source has a detailed description on the act of his lynching. It also contains valuable background information on what was happening in Newark prior to his lynching. This source is a section from the book Journal of Policy History titled “Dry Compulsions: Prohibition and the Creation of State-Level Enforcement Agencies” and it is published by reputable Cambridge University Press. This will be helpful in describing the background and history of Carl Etherington.
