'NZABIRINDA Pierre Early Life and Education Born on August 9, 1988, in Mugano Sector, Nyamagabe District, located in the Southern Province of Rwanda, NZABIRINDA Pierre grew up surrounded by a rich cultural heritage and strong community values. He began his formal education at Sovu Primary School, where he studied from 1997 to 2003. His academic journey continued at Kayonza Modern Secondary School, where he obtained his A-level certificate in Humanities, Economics, and Geography (HEG) in 2009.
Pierre then pursued higher education at the University of Rwanda, earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics with a focus on Monetary Economics between 2011 and 2014. Committed to lifelong learning, he later completed a postgraduate course at the University of Kigali in 2019 and is currently enrolled in a Master’s program at the National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia, further honing his expertise in business modeling and economics.
Research Interests
Pierre’s research interests span several critical areas, including real estate investment, behavioral finance, consumer behavior, asset pricing, and business model innovation. His academic work focuses on identifying trends and insights that can drive economic development and improve financial systems.
Professional Career
Pierre’s professional journey reflects his dedication to economic development and employment promotion. From March 2018 to 2023, he served as a Business and Employment Specialist, where he developed and implemented strategies to promote cooperatives, SMEs, and employment opportunities. His work involved identifying business and tourism prospects, promoting savings initiatives, and facilitating access to microfinance services for local populations.
Prior to this, Pierre contributed to national development efforts through his roles at the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR). As a labor force survey staff member (2017-2018) and enumerator (2017), he utilized statistical software, conducted data analysis, and ensured accurate data collection for national surveys.
His earlier experience includes auditing at SGM (2014-2015) and working as a chief accountant at KIBOS Commodities Rwanda Ltd (2015-2017). Pierre also has teaching experience, having taught English, Economics, and Entrepreneurship at Mugano Secondary School (2010-2011).
Skills and Interests
Pierre possesses strong technical and analytical skills, including proficiency in programming languages such as Python and statistical tools like EViews and Stata. His expertise extends to accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, and Tally. He also has a keen interest in big data analysis, enabling him to provide data-driven insights for business solutions.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Pierre enjoys reading books, playing football, engaging with musical instruments, and socializing with family and friends.
