This is the section I am looking to make my first addition to:
"While not in a raid, players can sell unwanted loot to traders or other players via the flea market and purchase new equipment. These traders also task the player with completing quests which increase their trader loyalty, enabling access to more items and quests. Players have an upgradeable 'Hideout' living area, which is an underground bomb shelter that - once upgraded with scavenged or purchased materials - gives the players in-game bonuses. These bonuses include reducing the cooldown timer to play as a scav."
The section with my addition bolded:
"While not in a raid, players can sell unwanted loot to traders, and purchase new equipment. These traders also task the player with completing quests which increase their trader loyalty, enabling access to more items and quests. Alternatively if loot is marked "found it raid" it can also be listed on the flea market for direct sale to players for a fee[1]. Players have an upgradeable 'Hideout' living area, which is an underground bomb shelter that - once upgraded with scavenged or purchased materials - gives the players in-game bonuses. These bonuses include but are not limited to reducing the cooldown timer to play as a player scav, bitcoin farming, crafting and access to endgame barter i

[edit]Escape from Tarkov's gameplay has been compared to military simulation games such as the ARMA series. Featuring a deep weapon modification system which directly correlates with weapon performance, such as selecting the dust cover, grip, stock and scope.[2] Players can equip their character with a range of various equipment including tactical rigs, armored vests, armored rigs, and bulletproof helmets.[3]
In-game, the player has fine-grained control over their character's movement speed and crouch height. To check how much ammunition is still in their weapon requires checking the magazine manually - no on-screen counter is provided.[2] The game also has a health system, whereby each of the character's limbs has hit points. Healing damage taken requires specific types of medical supplies depending on the wounds inflicted, such as bandages for light bleeding.[2] The game models realistic ballistics, including features such as ricochets and bullet penetration.[3]
Patch 12.8 is now out** Patch 12.8 is coming in the next few days and the preliminary patch notes have been released/covered. This update adds a number of different types of content including;
The Compass: The Battle State Games has introduced a usable in raid compass, an item which once equipped and pulled out will reference a cardinal system to relay locations of interest.
Heavy Bleeds: A new addition to the bleed system which introduces a new type of bleeding player characters will experience. The heavy bleed mechanic utilizes medical supplies in the form of tourniquets, which do not work on light bleeds, while also being stopped by Salewa's and Grizzlie Medical Kits at the cost of durability damage to the item.
Backpack drop/Weight System: The in game weight system is directly relative to the audible radius of your player character. Players are able to tap their "quick drop backpack" hotkey in order to drop their backpack and alleviate such weight penalties.
Above are new features which I will be exploring potential relevancy to the article.
