High Road for Human Rights File:Http://www.highroadforhumanrights.info/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/humanrightsRED-1.pngis a non profit organization (501c3) founded in 2008 with the goal of creating engaged citizenry to ensure the protection of human rights. High Road for Human Rights organizes, supports, and mobilizes an extensive network of people to prevent and eliminate human rights abuses.

High Road for Human Rights focuses on five human rights issues; Genocide, Slavery, Climate Crisis, Torture/Rule of Law and The Death Penalty. High Road seeks to illuminate human rights abuses by: 1. Elevating awareness about human rights abuses and available solutions and 2. Taking unified action to achieve changes that will enhance the protection of human rights.

High Road for Human Rights work is made possible by a large network of local teams comprised of up to 12 people. High Road teams meet monthly to discuss issues and set change provoking goals. There are two types of High Road teams: comprehensive teams which address a variety of issues and Focused Teams which choose to focus on one issue.
