The Twelfth Music World Cup qualification was the qualifying process which decided the 27 teams that would join Australia, Brazil, Canada, England and the United States, who received an automatic spot, at the Twelfth Music World Cup.
The qualification process gives four automatic slots to Africa, six to the Americas, three to Asia, fifteen to Europe and one to Oceania, plus, one team of each continent is allowed to participate of the intercontinental play-off, which gives slots to three of them.
The african qualification happened in five rounds, the first one between just the ten lowest-populated countries in africa, with the remaining countries only joining in the second round.
The first round of the African qualifications features the ten african countries with the lowest population in a singular match, with each winner moving to the second round.
The second round consists of twenty five matches envolving the five qualified countries from the first round plus all fourty-five other countries participating.
For the third round, all qualified teams were split for a last time in five pots, again with the same criterias as before, but now, they were divided in five groups of five.
The games behaved as the following: The RateYourMusic charts would be filtered to only include albums from each country in the group, and them, random numbers would be raffled thirty times, each album giving one point to its parent country. Five additional raffles are made in case of a tie.
The best performing team of each group would be compared, with the overall best performing team being qualified directly to the world cup and the remaining four winners going to the fourth round.
For the fourth and final stage, the lesser perform winners of each group would play a short bracket, except the loser of each match goes to the final, with the winners going to the world cup and the loser of both matches going to the intercontinental play off.
The american qualifier happened in three rounds, the first one featuring only the thirty-two lowest populated nations and all the others joining for round two.
The first round of the American qualifications features the thirty-two countries with the lowest population in a singular match, with each winner moving to the second round.
The filling of the pots is based first on if the country has already participated of the cup or not, if so, it goes on the first pots with priority to the best performing countries, after that, the pots are filled based on the population of the countries.

For the second round, all teams were split in six pots, again with the same criterias as before, but now, they were divided in six groups of six, where the two best performing teams of each group would be qualified to the third round.
