Hiras Fashion is a British, family-owned company and makers of traditional bespoke tailoring for men and women. With its online presence and global visits, the company specializes in custom made suits, dress shirts, blazers, tuxedos, tuxedo shirts, waistcoats, and topcoats.

History

Hiras Fashion was founded in 1960 with the Hira family members at the helm and established the bespoke tailoring tradition along Nathan Road in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Hiras Fashion is currently chaired by Chand Hira with the help of his children. The company has been visiting major cities around the world since its inception and in 2012 expanded with online shopping and was recently named by the Sydney Morning Herald as new breed of travelling tailor.^[1] Hiras maintains its production in Hong Kong with an affiliate office in London, England. The company’s traditional bespoke tailoring continues with the help of tailors from extended members of the Hira clan.

Trunk Shows

After its inception in 1960^[2], Chand Hira took Hiras on the road in 1968 with a trunk show in London, United Kingdom. Since then, the company has travelled around the globe with bi-monthly visits in major cities such as New York, California, as well as London, United Kingdom. In September 2013, Hiras announces several trunk shows in Europe, particularly Dublin, Ireland; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Brussels, Belgium; and Zurich, Switzerland

Organization

Chand Hira, the second generation bespoke tailor, currently chairs Hiras Fashion with the help of his two sons managing the Hong Kong office. Hiras also offers custom made detailing such as lapels, collars, linings, and buttons with each garment cut and tailored by hand. Hiras carries a fabric selection of over 3,000 cloths that include European designer fabrics such as Ermenegildo Zegna, Wain Shiell, Holland & Sherry, Loro Piana, and Dormeuil. The main fabric materials used in the company’s production are cotton, linen, pure wool, cashmere, satin, and silk.

Global Presence

Hiras constantly travels the world with a master tailor concentrating in major alpha world cities such as New York, London, and Sydney. The Hiras tailor performs personal fittings in designated cities all over the world. The company’s mobility has taken them across the globe, most notably in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Mongolia, Netherlands, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States, and Switzerland.
