I'm a Tasmanian who likes to try and give back to the wikipedia as I have gained so much from it. My lineage can be traced back to Northern Europe, in particular Aarhus, where I extend from a line of technically minded individuals. My fathers were known to be early global navigators being proficient in the use and maintainence of many devices used for celestial navigation such as sextants, octants and telescopes. Dentistry as well as engineering (involving mining, forestry, electronics and software) have also featured within our activities. One of my fathers was described as a "first-rate machinist" in charge of Hobart's three city clocks. He also reportedly worked for the emperor of Russia and was delighted to show one of his trusted machines to Captain Fitzroy and Lieutenant Stokes (officers of Darwin's Beagle).
My interests include:
- Altered states of consciousness, especially lucid dreaming
