Life and Career
[edit]Roman Nicholas Jackiw, otherwise known as Nick Jackiw, is a software devellopper and computer scientist. Having graduated from Swarthmore College, Nick began working on the Geometer's Sketchpad, a tool used for exploring and understanding mathematics and geometry <ref> http://www.edugains.ca/newsite/math/geometerskechpad.html. Having grown up in the United States, he spent most of his adult career in California, before marrying Nathalie Sinclair, and moving to Lansing, Michigan, where they had their daughter, Nadège Jackiw. Since, he has moved to Vancouver, Canada, where he has continued his work with the Geometer's Sketchpad, as well as develloping Touchcounts and Touchtimes with Nathalie Sinclair through the university where she works, Simon Fraser University.
