[edit]

Huddy has stated publicly that several of his past relationships have influenced the topics of Heartbreak and teen angst. As far as muscial influences he stated that All-American Rejects, blink-182, Yungblud and more have influenced the sounds present on the album.

Critical Reception

[edit]

Teenage Heartbreak was met with negative reviews as people criticized its lack of identity and originality. WRBBRADIO reviewer Jack Ognibene gave the album 1.5/5 and said the album was underwhelming, and sounded like a bad ripoff of Green Day.

Anthony Fantano a well known music critic jokingly tweeted that Teenage Heartbreak was album of the year without even listening to it. This tweeted gained negative feedback with people criticizing Fantano for joke they thought was real. A few days later, fantano would actually review the album stating the albums writing was cringy and it sucked. He did also state that the album wasn't bad and it was at least listenable and was better than Tickets to My Downfall, Neon Shark vs. Pegasus and Nine. Fantano gave the album a Light 4-5.
