ORIGIN OF NIRBAN RAJPUTS

[edit]

According to Col. Nathu Singh Shekhawat- "Nirban is a clan and it is branch of Chauhan rajputs. King Aspal of Nadol (Pali) in Rajasthan had four sons Mankarrao, Mokal, Alhan and Naradev from Patrani Vanchaldevi . The youngest of them was Nardev, ambitious, visionary and brave.

He knew that due to being the youngest son, there was no possibility of obtaining a great part from the father's kingdom, therefore Nardev sacrificed his part of the father's state, and he left with his trusted companions to establishing his own rule

At that time, Khunwarsinh Daheel used to reign on Khandela. Naradev Attacked khandela in 1085 AD and defeated Khunwarsinh Daheel and took control of Khandela.

Pleased with the unexpected victory and renunciation for his part in father's kingdom, Raja Asapal honored Nardev with the title of "NIRBAN" as a

blessing. Since then, nardev was known by the name of Nirban .Nardeva was first Nirban the founder of Nirban clan of chauhan rajputs and started Nirban (Chauhan) Rajput rule in Khandela.

The sons of other brothers of Nardev are known as Deora or Devda . "

The Chauhan (also known as Nirban) are of Agnivanshi lineage. Their state was initially centered around Khetri, Khandela, Alsisar Malsisar, Srimadhopur, Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Sikar and Churu.

According to legend and clan history, the Nirwan or Nirban are with Maharana Pratap against Akbar in Haldighati Battle. Their state was initially centered around Sambhar in present-day Rajasthan.
