The Pivot Conference is a conference geared towards marketing executives, brand marketers, and agencies seeking to deconstruct the attitudes, motives and methods of Social Consumers, the emerging dominant force in branding and buying. The two day conference, held annually, takes place in October in New York City. The 2011 conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Times Square on October 17th and 18th.

History

[edit]

The Pivot Conference was created to serve the needs of brands and their agencies who had not been able to make the pivot from marketing to the search consumer, to the social consumer. The Pivot Conference, which is owned by The Tomorrow Project, LLC, started in 2010. The inaugural conference was held October 17-19, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Times Square. Over 700 attended the inaugural conference, which featured speakers such as Brian Solis, Arianna Huffington, Henry Blodget, and Douglas Rushkoff. The 2010 conference was produced by Chris Shipley, Co-founder and CEO of Guidewire Group.
