Consider adding a section on worldwide trend/how the idea of "alternative facts" - while not specifically called that - is more that just an American phenomenon.

Also, consider a section on the non-political effects of "alternative facts".
Add a paragraph in the Background section about the connection to Stephen Colbert's "Truthiness" and how, despite the fact that the term "alternative facts" has recently surfaced, it is not a recent phenomenon.
Also, consider changing the photo.
