Universal Secure Registry™ LLC (USR) is headquartered in Newton, Massachusetts, United States and was founded in 2000 by SecurID inventor and former Security Dynamics CEO Kenneth P. Weiss[1]. SecurID is a trademark of RSA, the security division of EMC.
Technology
[edit]USR holds and licenses multiple personal identification, authentication, and mobile phone transaction application patents invented by Kenneth Weiss[2]. The patented technology is a platform for a secure, remote universal electronic repository for personal, private, and sensitive information; integrating mobile phone technology with a secure remote server to act as a "trusted agent" for personal transactions such as mobile payments and funds transfers. The USR mobile payment platform is able to communicate with Near Field Communication (NFC) and Bluetooth and does not transmit sensitive information from or store exploitable information in the mobile device itself.
