Stray Animals Cause of Accidents

Stray animals Are animals such as Cows, Dogs and Donkeys that were once pets or privately owned by people but they either run from home, lost or left unattended roaming wild around the public street roads.

Stray animals cpose real problemss to society, it can be sad for anyone driving in the path of a stray animal thus we should avoid by every means to tke good care of our animals. Stray animals impose serious personal injuries either to the passagers or to the driver, as many drivers swerve their vehicles to avoid hitting these animals but instead they collide with road signs and most horrific with other vehicles on the road and this sympathetic results its all because of irresponsibility of livestock owners.[1]

In Rundu in the Kavango Region, the presence of animals and pedestrains on the public road has been the foremost cause of accidents in the past few weeks. With the most devastating crash that claimed the life of Official, Ministry of Work and Transport in Katima, Efferson 'Mountain' Chiyeye last week Thursday.

Chiyeye was recently on a margin of being transfered to a new duty as a Deputy Director, furthermore an interview with New Era, Chief Inspector of Namibian police in Rundu Chrispin Mubebo, said that "at least three people died last week in various accidents involving people and Domestic animals". Traditional leaders,Councellors and Chief Inspector Mubebo, Further said they will continue to encourage the community members not to neglect the animals and to be extra conscious on public roads.[2]

As accidents are foreseeable in countries like Jamaica these accidents resulted in many implications thus we should all work together and make this issue a priority to put this actions on public agenda as its causing many massive problems to society and the government at large.[3]
