Dead/Awake
[edit]Dead/Awake is an American metalcore band from Rockford, Illinois. Dead/Awake consists of Dillon Hare (lead vocals), Michael Campa (lead guitar and backing vocals), Payton Kuhn (drums), Anthony Schlickman (bass guitar), and Morgan Earp (rhythm guitar). In October of 2018, they released their debut EP, “Insurrectionist” which featured a number of noteworthy guest features including Frankie Palmeri of Emmure, Tyler Shelton of Traitors, Kyle Anderson of The Afterimage, and Dave Simonich of Signs of the Swarm [1]. The band has since then released two singles.
Background
[edit]The band formed in late 2017 with founding members Michael Campa, Noah Lopez, Anthony Schlickman, and Payton Kuhn. Dead/Awake signed to We Are Triumphant Records the following year. In October of 2018, they released their debut EP, “Insurrectionist” which featured a number of noteworthy guest features including Frankie Palmeri of Emmure, Tyler Shelton of Traitors, Kyle Anderson of The Afterimage, and Dave Simonich of Signs of the Swarm [1]]. Following the release of the EP, founding vocalist Noah Lopez parted ways with Dead/Awake. After Noah's departure, Dillon Hare became the sole frontman. The band has since then released two singles.
Musical Influence
[edit]Dead/Awake's musical influences are derived largely from bands like The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, Varials, and Knocked Loose.
