Memo Discord Bot
[edit]Memo is a advanced Discord Bot. According to the creator (Nerd Bear), "Memo is a versatile Discord bot for server management and user interaction. Features include moderation tools, server management, and more!". This Discord Bot has a user base of over 2300 users across its Development and Production Bots.
Production and Development bot
[edit]As the Memo Bot has over 2300 users at time of writing, its important to keep the bot online at all times with as little to no downtime as possible. However to test and create new features you need to be able to restart, disable, enable and sometimes temporarily kill the bot. The only way to do so, is have to instances running. One as the production Bot and one as the Development Bot.
The production Bot will be running the latest stable release, where as the development bot runs the local version that is usually ahead by around 2 months.
History
[edit]Originally created by (Nerd Bear) Oct 16 2024. The reason for the bots creation and what it was and still is trying to achieve, is the first big Discord bot that is fully open source and not monetized.
After its original creation a few people started adding new features through the github repository. This small spark of user activity lead it to start gaining popularity by word of mouth.
