Natasha Sardzoska, distinguished Macedonian poet, essayist, writer, literary translator and interpreter (FR, IT, ES, EN, PT, HR, CA), cultural event manager and anthropologist, was born in Skopje in Macedonia on 16.11.1979. She holds a PhD in anthropology from the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris and University of Bergamo. She lived in Milan, Lisbon, Paris, Brussels, Stuttgart. Currently she works as adjunct professor at the Schiller International University in Heidelberg. She has published the poetry books Blue Room, Skin, He pulled me with invisible string, Living Water and Coccyx and the novel Tramontana. Her poetry books are published in the USA, in Honduras, in Italy and in Kosovo. Her poetry has been translated in more than 15 languages and published in international literary reviews and anthologies. She has written for the reviews Doppiozero, Nuova Prosa in Milan and Transmidia in Rio de Janeiro and currently she is Poetry Editor for the peer reviewed Borders in Globalization in Canada. She won the prize "Don Luigi de Liegro" for poetic creation in Italian language. She has translated into Macedonian from Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, French and Catalan more than 50 writers among which: Pasolini, Carducci, Saramago, Pessoa, Camoes, Braga, Carvalho, Bojunga, Tabucchi, Bufalino, Petroni, Carneiro, Correia, Tozzi, Couto, Margarit. Her poetry readings are recitals with performative and interactive character: she combines vocal experiments, music, improvisation, body drawing and dance and she interacts with the audience. At the Ars Poetica Festival in Bratislava she has performed her poetry singing a-cappella in the National Gallery; at the International Poetry Festival in Genova she has performed with a-cappella singing and body-painting in Palazzo Ducale; at the Academy of Arts in Berlin she performed a dancing performance for the Poetry Festival of Berlin; at the Sha’ar Poetry Festival in Tel Aviv she has performed in the Arab-Hebrew Theatre with sax, contrabass and contemporary dance. She has exhibited herself in various cities across the Balkans, namely Belgrade, Sofia, Plav and Rijeka. She organized with the French Institute the poetic soirée Les rivages de l’exil for the francophone poetry on exile and with the Italian Embassy in Skopje the Italian poetic-musical evening Il vino è la poesia della terra where she has performed poems in Italian language. Her poem “Doll on Strings” has been published in English and Spanish in the International Poetry Anthology against child abuse. She is part of the international poetry platform Lyrikline in Berlin. Her poetry intertwines sensuality, reminiscence of the flesh, exposes inner pain, exile, homelessness and reveals spiritual freshness. Her poetic memory has performative character capturing the dramaturgy of the chamber space of the human existence.
