[edit]Production Cassandra was filmed in and around Charlottesville and Palmyra Virginia from August to October of 2010. Several incidents, schedule conflicts and injuries occured during fiilming.

Director Nathaniel Turner injured his hand on the second day of filming and shot the movie predominately with one hand and the other hand had a cast on it.

Actor Floyd Henderson, injured his back and arm during an intense sequence for the film.

Finding the actress to play Cassandra was a very long and difficult process. Eight different actress passed on playing the lead role, claiming it was "a very difficult and overwhelming role to perform." After two weeks into filming, the director found "the right girl" and luckily many of the male leads already knew her and each other.

Many of the actors were UVA seniors and filming had to be done in and around their school schedule.

During filming, most of the actors and crew had such a great time that they even forgot they were making a serious intense film.

Post-production (which started on the first day of filming), including film editing, color correction, sound effects and music took 6 months to complete. In one scene alone there are over 500 sound effects and 70 different color correction layers.

[edit]Release Cassandra was shown on February 4th at PVCC and is now in the process of auditioning for film festivals. It is looking for a distributor.

The musical score includes themes for each of the main characters to define their personality and emotions. Samples from the film score:
