About Me

[edit]

Programming is my profession but as you go up in the food chain in IT industry you are expected to perform in different areas like project management, some salesy activities, customer interaction and stuff. I like it all but my heart still lies in programming. So I try to spend as much time writing code as possible. The day I write substantial code I have a feeling of completeness when I retire to bed. A sense of fulfilment and comfortable sleep if you know what I mean. I think one reason is that code by its very nature gives you instant feedback. Thumbs up or down. One the other hand other softer activities are human centric and have their own little cycle to bear any fruit, like trying to convince a customer to buy your product.

I also like to learn new sciences and technologies. I found learning something similar to what you have done in past very easy (like learning a new programming language for me), while picking up a whole new field is a different ball game. I was pretty good at Math in school but recently I was trying to understand the numbers behind the AI algorithms like neural networks, Markov's chains etc and found it rather challenging.
