Dr.M.Somasundaram (Born 27th May 1974) is an Academician, Researcher, BFSI professional from Tamilnadu, India.

Biography: Dr.M.Somasundaram (Somasundaram Murugaiyan) was born in Kollampalayam in Erode, Erode District. Presently he is residing in Coimbatore. He failed in 10th standard at science subject and again he passed in said subject. After he studied his higher secondary course through private mode in Board of Higher secondary Examination, Tamilnadu in 1992. He did not go for the direct study in the colleges but started to study degree courses through distance education in various universities and completed such course as B.Com., in Annamalai University, M.Com., MBA, M.Sc., MMM, MBM, M.A.Hindi, M.A (JMC), M.A.Education, M.Phil. etc. He has completed multiple post graduate degrees in various discipline in distance education. He studied part time Ph.D., in Commerce in Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and then completed D.Litt., in Commence (Doctor of Letters) in Madurai Kamaraj University in 2019. In some countries, it is called as Doctor of Literature. D.Litt./D.Sc, degrees are highest degree of any university in the world. Normally peoples can complete upto D.Litt. / D.Sc. degree, but his specialty is like he did not study directly at school or colleges post his 10th standard but he studied/achieved up to highest degree level in the education. This is his unique future and shows difference from others. He is an inspiration to the many peoples like students, research scholars and working professionals. He has published more than 20 research papers in peer reviewed journals and published 1 book about banks, NBFCs, CIBIL and personal loan. He is a Life Member in Annamalai University Alumni Association (considered in distance education mode by university), Indian Commerce Association, Indian Accounting Association and Indian Institute of Banking and Finance.

Career: He started his career in ELGI Finance Limited Karur as marketing officer in January 1996 and working till September 2001. Post he joined in Bajaj Finance Limited and at present working in Bajaj as Senior Regional Operation Manager. He is being in BFSI industry more than 25 years. At the same time, he is publishing articles in various journals for the benefit of education industry especially for student and researchers.

Awards and Recognition: Outstanding Researcher Award:2022 from MTC Global Leadership Institute, Bangalore.
