Benjamin Somuah, popularly known in music circles as JahReal, is winning the hearts of many dancehall fans with his strong lyrical contents. His songs are mostly motivational and inspirational depicting real life stories.
Born on October 22nd 1991, JahReal musically nurtured himself to become an artiste and loved to sing songs of his mentors till he developed his own style of singing and writing. His remarkable ascension in the music industry was in full effect when he dropped his first song "Gyal dema thing" which got him nominated for the best dancehall artiste at the GUM Awards 2015, which he won. That same year he was nominated again for BASS awards discovery of the year.
To JahReal, music is a mission and he is in this world to deliver his message to the youth
Although JahReal has lost both parents, he has become one of the most respected artistes in the country.
His late father, Mr. Samuel Somuah was a business man and his late Mother, Sarah Naki Somuah was a Restaurateur.
He attended Mercy Day Care, ELTA International School and New Hope Preparatory school for his basic education.
He continued to Seven Great Princess Academy for his Junior High School Education where he completed in 2007.
After passing his Junior High School examination beautifully, he gained admission to St. Peters Senior High School, at Nkwetia-Kwahu for his Secondary education.
Currently studying at the University of Ghana, Legon, JahReal the fourth of five children said the death of his parents have charged him to go the extra mile to achieve bigger things in life.
