Mark Eghan

Mark Eghan (born December 3, 1985) is a Ghanaian trained Agricultural Economist. Mark was born at Apremdo in Sekondi-Takoradi District of Western Region to Catherine Kwofie and Thomas Eghan.

EDUCATION

Mark started his elementary school at Myohaung Forces Primary and Junior Secondary School and completed in 2001 as one of the two students graduating with the best grade of the school. After his basic education, he continued his secondary education at Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) where he read general arts option, by dint of high academic excellence, he was awarded full scholarship to pursue his secondary education. In 2005, he gained admission to read Mathematics and Economics from the University of Ghana and successfully graduated in May 2009. Mark was a beneficiary of partial scholarship from the University. A year later, he enrolled for a postgraduate degree in Master of Philosophy degree in Agricultural Economics from the same University and graduated in July 2012. Mark is a member of Old Vandals Association and an Old Giant.

CAREER

Mark has several years of experience in agro-economic and socio-economic studies in Ghana. He has served as a junior consultant to execute projects for a number of multi-national mining firms operating in Ghana. He has also worked with United Nation's Food and Agriculture organization. He is a member of the African Association of Agricultural Economist.

LITERARY WORKS

Mark has co-authored three (3) academic papers on Ghana’s food policy [1] [1] . His areas of academic interest are resource and environmental management.
