  • SH 51 Brownfield - McCamey split? probably not
  • SH 68 Eastland - Lingleville split? but Lingleville - Stephenville was added by then
  • SH 81 Llano - Brady had what number?? 281?
  • SH 158 Sterling City - west split?
  • not sure why SH 293 needed to be split

Note that SH 285's assignment in 16135 provides strong evidence that 280-298 were assigned at this time but not actually finalized until late 1939; in particular 285 was assigned to former 16 Riviera - Falfurrias and then the number was extended west when Falfurrias - Hebbronville was added
