  1. June 2018 – July 2019: Working with Mr. James Mubiru and Mrs. Agnes Ssekiboobo to design a Statistical Plan for Agriculture and Rural Statistics (SPARS) for the Uganda Bureau of Statistics,
  2. Jan - Oct 2017: Team Leader, drafting the Buganda Kingdom Strategic Plan for Statistics (BKSPS). It will be the basis of establishing the Buganda Kingdom Statistics Department and data gathering processes. It will also guide all future regional plans for financial assistance, economic, cultural and social development, Worked with Mr. J.B. Male Mukasa and Mr. J.W. Mubiru former Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director of the Uganda Bureau of Statistics, respectively.
  3. Oct, 2014-Jan 2017: Research Associate with a team of six statisticians under the Makerere University, School of Statistics and Planning (formerly ISAE) on an FAO Consultancy Designing the methodology for using administrative data in an agricultural statistics system under the Global Strategy for the development of agricultural statistics.

Oct. 1998 to Jan. 2006: Deputy Director and then Director (Head) of the Trade and External Debt Department in Bank of Uganda (BOU) (Dealt with issues on Public and External Debt and Domestic Debt including Debt Sustainability Analysis; Spearheaded development of data collection on Capital Flows including designing  surveys and Revised Foreign Exchange Recording Forms; Regulation of Foreign Exchange Bureaux including drafting a new Foreign Exchange Act and Regulations; Design a system of collecting remittances coming into Uganda; In collaboration with the Faculty of Economics designed a course unit on External Public Debt.).
  27. 1994 -1998: Head of Central Statistics Office in Uganda and Spearheaded the transformation of the department into the current semi-autonomous Uganda Bureau of Statistics. This included leading the drafting of the respective legislation and institutional framework. Also revived the publication of the Statistical Abstract.
  28. 1989 - 1994: Senior Economist/Statistician, Agric Secretariat, BOU at time of liberalisation of the agricultural sector and restructuring of most agricultural parastatals. Participated in the designing of the system for the costs of production, processing and marketing data collection.    
  29. 1990: Worked with Computer Expert to design a Management Information System for the Uganda Co-operative Alliance.

  38. Participated in the field training of the newly recruited Agricultural Statisticians of the Ministry for Agriculture in Uganda.
  39. 1986 Carried out short consultancy for a Wye College (University of London) team reviewing requirements for technical and higher education in Uganda.
  40. Took part in the technical discussions for drawing up a project document for a proposed Uganda Census of Agriculture.
  41. Served as a consultant to the Planning Division, Ministry of Agriculture in the terminal evaluation of Phase 1 of the Agricultural Rehabilitation Project in N.E.Uganda.
  42. 1984 Was assistant to Prof. D.G.R. Belshaw when he wrote a desk-top brief on developments in agriculture (Policy and Production) for an International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) mission to Uganda.
  43. 1980 Was Co-ordinator of a Workshop on the Rehabilitation and Development of Statistics in Uganda held in the Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (ISAE), Makerere University, 16-20 June, 1980.
  44. 1980 Played a leading role in the formation of the Uganda Statistics Society in June, 1980 and served as Founder Secretary until going on study leave in October, 1983.
  45. 1980 Participated in the discussions and drafting of the 1980 Uganda Population Census questionnaire and was District Training Officer for Mukono District. This included responsibility for training of all levels of personnel involved in the District and the supervision of the actual enumeration exercise.
