Dr. Maya Styner is both a researcher and a physician at the University of North Carolina Department of Medicine/ Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism. Her clinical interests include metabolic bone disease, osteoporosis, lipodystrophies, and general endocrinology. She provides primary and consultative care for patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders. In the laboratory, Dr. Styner is investigating mechanisms by which exercise benefits health.
