Microsoft Lync on Linux

[edit]

Microsoft Lync is a client-server system.[1] Running Microsoft Lync on a Linux client requires a Microsoft Lync server,[2] and a Linux Lync client.

Microsoft has Lync clients for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS. [3]

But Microsoft does not produce a Lync client for Linux.[4]

A workaround is Pidgin plus SIPE, which provides chat. [5] [6]
