My name is Maxime. I am new to the Wikipedia editing community. I have been reading articles for many years and recently re-created the Lucas Till article.
I was challenged to write an article in my ENGL 1101 class. This was a great alternative to the usual run-of-the-mill research paper. I could write the greatest research paper, although this would not benefit anyone. My article can now be read by anyone using the internet.
Wikipedia is under assault by many people for its reliability. Nonetheless, it is one of the greatest sources of information available on the internet. It amazes me how many people are willing to dedicate their free time to keep the information free and neutral. The ability to surf through articles is great for quickly gathering information. Although they may pose a challenge to new creators, sources are also a great way to gather information and giving credibility to an article. Writing an article myself has created in me a greater sense of appreciation for Wikipedia and its contributors.
I don't plan on creating any new articles for now. I do plan to keep reading Wikipedia articles and cleaning any garbage if I come across it. Knowledge should be free and neutral. As an INTP, there is nothing more that I hate than the vandalism of knowledge.
Personal Stuff
[edit]I am finishing my freshman year of college. My current major is Graphic Communications Management, or in other words, printing. This causes somewhat of a conflict considering that I enjoy the design aspect much more. I greatly enjoy religious debates, but they can prove to be extremely frustrating at times. I often end up drawing or dosing off in class more than one should be.
