Glen Echo Park is a major attraction that is proximate to Bethesda Maryland. Located in Glen Echo, the park has a long history as a center for activity, education, entertainment and the arts since 1891. The park was founded in 1891 to promote education. From 1911 to 1968 the park operated as a premier amusement park.[1] Since the adoption of the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture, the park offers classes and performances in a wide arrange of arts.[2] It is a popular site for artists from Bethesda schools such as the Landon School and Walt Whitman High School who take classes at the Yellow Barn studio and Gallery.

The Capital Crescent Trail is a walking and biking trail which runs from Georgetown, Washington D.C to Silver Spring Maryland. The trails runs through Bethesda and cuts over River Road through downtown Bethesda. [3]The Crescent Trail is a popular amenity for local residents and visitors, and receives a lot of use throughout the year. It also brings foot traffic into Bethesda from other parts of the metropolitan area. [4] The trail runs through the Bethesda neighborhood of Kenwood, which receives a large amount of visitors during late March and early April due to it's abundant Cherry Blossom trees. [5]

Bethesda has a wide variety and selection of restaurants. They vary from American, Spanish, Mexican, Middle Eastern and more. [6] Some of the notable restaurants include Mona Mi Gabi, Woodmont Grill and Jaleo. Jaleo has gained fame for its advanced tapas quinine and notoriety as a Jose Andres restaurants. [7] Bethesda also hosts a restaurant week annually to promote local cuisine at a discounted rate. [8] The abundance of selection serves Bethesda as a destination place for residents of the greater metropolitan area. The area has received some criticism over the quality of its food, notability food critics. Some have called the area overdeveloped with eateries and a lack of quality. [9]

Bethesda has a current population of 62,024. Bethesda has a population of 4,682 per sq mile, compared to 474 per sq mile for the rest of Maryland. [10]

History:

Bethesda Game Studios is a major game developer that is located in Bethesda. The company has created multiple popular and award winning games. Some include The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. [11]

I appreciate the feedback and expanded several sources for the first two sections. I added the food section with a basis I can expand for the final draft. I added a couple lines about demographics and some for the history section. I don't think I am going to pursue demographics further because of a lack of new information. Also housing and other socio-economic topics are well portrayed in the original article due to a lack of new information. I would like to further the topics I have for the final and thanks for the feedback!
