My background, editing interests and editing style

[edit]

I have been a long term Wikipedia reader and lurker, due to which I am relatively familiar with Wikipedia's rules, guidelines and processes. In my past, I have been what could be referred to as an academic or scholar. When I was in that line of work, I critically studied and analyzed Wikipedia as part of my learning about research methods, epistemology, and academic methodologies. This gave me a level of familiarity and understanding of Wikipedia

My interests are mainly India-centric, but other countries' topics also interest me considerably. FYI for the community, I like editing controversial topics as I usually find them interesting and intellectually stimulating. I find these topics through Wikipedia discussions and other conversations and debates. I also like editing to add or remove templates from articles that may have controversies or promotions or conflicts of interest, but are still interesting topics and so deserve to be cleaned up. Finally, I do aim to engage in wiki discussions on noticeboards, logs, other discussions pages and administrative backlogs.
