Wikipedia is great! I love working with other people on making articles even better.
I am 36 years old and live in North Carolina.
One of my hobbies is military history. My main interest is in the Crusade era.
My Grandfather, William Alga Pace, served with the 1142nd Combat Engineers Headquarters Company in World War II in the European Theater. I maintain a website for the unit. On the site, you can view 500 photos of the company during their service in the war. On the "Photos" page, in the Willy Willem gallery of pictures (he was ten years old at the time when the 1142nd entered his small village of Zichen, Belgium), you can see the school house where my grandfather was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds from a German V-1 rocket that landed just outside the school house. The school is still there to this day. http://www.1142combatengineers.com/
My best friend and fellow shipmate, Joe Knight, served with me during our service on the USS Ticonderoga CG-47. We maintain a website there for all of our shipmates to keep in touch. I served in the US Navy from 1989 - 1993 and deployed to the Persian Gulf in 1991. I worked on the Mark 26 Guided Missile Launching System (MK26GMLS), hence my user name. http://www.ussticonderoga.com/
