Replacing old plagiarized first sentence for the lysozyme article.

Old sentence

These are enzymes that damage bacterial cell walls by catalyzing hydrolysis of 1,4-beta-linkages between N-acetylmuramic acid and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine residues in a peptidoglycan and between N-acetyl-D-glucosamine residues in chitodextrins

Goal is to make it more general for an introduction to the lysozyme and get rid of the plagiarism.

Lysozymes damage bacteria by hydrolyzing peptidoglycan the major component of gram-positive bacterial cell walls. Peptidoglycan is formed by alternating N-acetylmuramic acid and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine monomers through β-(1,4) linkages. Lysozymes catalyze hydrolysis of the β-(1,4) lysing the bacteria by compromising the integrity of its cell wall. Lysozymes also have been shown to be able to catalyze hydrolysis of chitodextrins, though at slower rates than chitases.
