Autobiography

In this Autobiography, titled My Fight / Your Fight, published in 2015 by Ronda_Rousey an Olympic_medalists in Judo, writes about her difficult journey to becoming the UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Through this book she reveals many parts of her life inside and outside the octagon. With the beginning of the biography Ronda admits the emptiness she felt after wining the bronze medal that lead to who she is today. Going back to when she was young, she opens up about her father’s suicide and how tough it was on her childhood. Being raised by a single mother, AnnMaria De Mars, the first American ever to win the gold medal at the the World Judo Championships, Ronda shares that their relationship was not always easy. Never seeing eye to eye, many disagreements about Ronda’s future lead her to move out on her own. Living alone in her car for several months she then explains how this was the start of how she was the first female to sign with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

During this time, she also opens up about her floundering love life. Disclosing her relationships, she talks about an ex-boyfriend who was heroin addict and another ex-boyfriend that took pictures naked of her while she was asleep. Ronda further writes about the STD scare that she encountered in her early life.

Ronda also reveals how she prepared for each fight in the octagon. Training with Edmond Traverdyan her boxing coach, she explains her strategy for each opponent that she faces. Being undefeated she talks about her jaw being dislocated during the fight with her opponent Liz Carmouche. She further went on and wrote that even though her jaw was dislocated she still keep going. Setting the world record of finishing a fight within only fourteen seconds against Cat Zingano, Ronda mentions the feud that she had with both Miesha Tate and Cat Zingano. And how it drove her to become more motivated to win.

Not only was Ronda interested in fighting, but she also likes to act and model. She talks about the experience of landing movie roles and about her pass experience with modeling. She shares that landing the roles in movies like Furious 7 and Entourage was one of the things she really enjoyed.
