I am a Canadian emergency medicine specialist working in a tertiary care center. I have always loved Wikipedia but lately am disturbed to find my medical students, interns and residents occasionally turning to it for information which they then use to inform decision-making in the clinical context. I have even found residents prescribing medications using pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic information and - god forbid - doses based on information in Wikipedia. I have newly begun to try my hand at editing medical articles on Wikipedia as a result.
